does anyone know anything about these. I heard that they can be hard to maintain. Also, that they are damaged by sun exposure and stuff??? I think they are really beautiful though.
I know that they tend to fade pretty damn quickly and unless you have, at least, reasonably olive skin they tend not to show up so much.
ive got white in one of my tattoo and it has faded and just gone back to my skin colour, they are lovely but be prepared to keep getting it re coloured in at least once a year xxx
wow, i have never seen a white tattoo, well maybe white in part of the tattoo but hey i think it sounds awesome as long as your skin isn't albino
i think that would look sweet on you alex, with your crazy greek skin i could talk to adam about it for you...sure he's kinda creepy but...i'll talk to him for ya
ya so I went to a bunch of places and they all basically said the same thing...that it's a huge gamble...it only really turns out white if you are like snow white pale or else it'll be more of a brown-ish colour...cause the ink is below the surface of your skin, thus will have your flesh to taint it's colour...and they said it fades really fast, and there's no way to really tell how it will turn out... damn. I still want it done. I feel really dumb about this. But I think I'll wait anyway and put some time into deciding...
man, see, it looks so beautiful...thats exactly what I want... so many positives, so many negatives...decisions decisions...
get them to mix white with another color maybe?. ive been planning on a piece , and the artist whos doing it suggest maybe blue mixed with white instead of the standard black or white. i also really like the look of tattoos that are done in a color that closely match your skin tone... it just kind of blends in nicely. i saw a girl who had the symbol of the goddess on her back that way, and it was beautiful..
hmm. sometimes i don't like multi-year permanence. and i still need to be professional, so I've been thinking of getting one too. a lot of tatt artists try to talk you out of it though... if it fades i would be ok with it. if you don't mind being "radioactive" there are also ways to make the tatt stand out by having the artist use blacklight tattoo ink, there's lots of cool ones where there is a white tatt with neat effects. not sure but those probably fade over time too, but they are interesting to look at when the white ink is mixed with it. subtle during the day and day-glo by night.... http://static.flickr.com/10/13624086_180a7680be_m.jpg course i may have just drank too much coffee.... and this is way too bizarre. lol, i'm new here.
White tattoos are beautiful, that is if they show up nicely. I would love to get one but my skin colour isn't right.
I have white in my tattoo....it's of a penguin. I'm a very fair skinned person....it shows up really well. When I got a tan....it still showed up really well. My tattoo man told me that they are harder to keep up with as far as cleaning goes....because infection is harder to notice in them. They also fade pretty quick....but I've had mine about a year and a half and it's still just as vibrant as the day I got it done. I've never heard that darker skin affects the look of it. A black friend of mine has a tattoo with white in it and it shows up quite nicely on him....and it isn't any funky shade....just white.
