"Since we are all on facebook" was supposed to be a kind of joke about how the world has become more technology dependent and materialistic. I'm sorry if that was not clear enough. I really thought nothing of it.

I am on facebook (and bebo). I moved to Aussie from NZ and I love to be able to get in contact with all my old friends. Yes, I could e-mail but I am obviously too lazy to do so. I check my facebook about once a fortnight.

I am also sorry (this time, for your sake) that you think I am "nothing more than a willing accomplice to corporate and government data mining". I hope your opinion of me changes one of these days.

 

These kind of things and the fact everyone feels like adding this junk to everyone's profile is what actually annoys me the most about things like facebook. I do have a myspace, but I stay clear from all these quizzes, games and friendtagging there. It's pretty cool without it

i dont have facebook either, and i dont really think any ONE of those labels describes me well, a combination of them may sort of cover it but I doubt it.

 

The point was to look at it and name who was what.

Example:

Hot mama: Naedhippie.

Flirtoo: Didy or lode.

Social butterfly: Raz.

Night owl: Deranged.

I saw this and thought of HF.

Right now I think I am burnt toast.

I over react, and get really offended when I see "you're nothing more than..." especially if someone hasn't spoken to me before.

I would have to go with the shutterbug because I have been so busy taking pictures lately! Otherwise, i am not sure how I would describe myself.

 

I actually deleted people from my friends list on facebook for posting crap like that.

 

I don't delete them,I just ignore the post...it is very easy to not respond to things you don't truly care about.

 

People who post something so dumb and tasteless have no place in my life.

 

Why bother replying to a thread like this, then?

I don't post this stuff on facebook and I've only been tagged once. I prefer to annoy HF with it instead.
