I look up to :

My sister Lindsay
My sister Alaina
My Mom
My Dad
My grandpa
And
My Brother-in-law Chris

If this was like the brady bunch i would be looking up to Brave Sir Rubin.

 

I'd be looking to the side...at Alice.

As far as looking up to anyone...hmmm...I guess since I have to think about it, really no one. I just aspire to be me and do a damn good job of it.

my mother is the person i look up to figuratively. she is 5'2" and i an 5'11", lol. my mom is an african-american woman born in the louisiana in 1922, who became a nurse and earned a bachelor of science degree despite the shit she faced as a woman and an ethnic minority.

you know, just out of prurient curiousity i've always wondered who there might be that i could.

now i've met some reasonably mellow and cool people in my life. but i can't say as there is anyone i really know of personaly, or know any more about then the likelyhood of their existence, that i would really define as being someone i look up to.

there are people i have heard of; ghandi, einstien maybe, that i admire for what they have done, or are believed to have done, or what have you. but what do i really know about their lives personaly? jack all, that's what.

then of course there's are invisible friends, and the more ancient of great sages.

well i don't look up or down at anyone. just sidewise, out of the corner of my eye.
when i'm not bussier and more interested in looking at artifacts or objects in nature.

well i suppose i look up to manawolf and steve gallacci and a number of others for what they have done with their art. and a number of writers, many of them one with the tao, who i spent much of my adult life being entertained by, like lafferty and sturgeon and so many many others.

and folks who have started and maintained online forums like this one, and online galleries like elfwood and vcl, to name just a couple of the many.

but what is this looking up to mean?
i admire and appreciate what these luminaries have done.
i still know jack all about any of them personaly.

and i don't believe anyone really KNOWS all that much about ANYone,
other then themselves, sometimes even that.
