I got to up to Okemo mountain in VT for the last day of the season, I lost my cell phone but it was great! what is your favorite mountain? so far mine is attatish/bear peak in NH
i work at gore mountain in the winter repairing skis and snowboards...the irony is i dont like sking or snowboarding...
I don't like skiing But I skied Big Bear once as a kid (In southern new hampshire) now the old resort has been reduced to bingo on thursday nights Hotwater
I do like to ski..never learned how to snowboard. My favorite place would be Mammoth Mtn.. I like cross country better than downhill though, cause you can go to some really remote spots.. I have skiied in Vermont before, in Killington..nice place.
Skiing is fucking great.. only place in America i've been is Mt Mansfield at Stowe, VT.. some fucking awesome black and double-diamond runs there (I'm pretty much nearly at instructor level, I'll more than likely make it my job someday) Europe-wise I like Rauris in Austria, or Les Deux Alpes, skiing in Italy is fucking annoying though because of all the Italians. Inconsiderate assholes for the most part, all convinced they're Eddie the bloody Eagle.
I love snowboarding, but skiing.. not so much. Some of the best places I've been to are in the Alps, it's gorgeous and it's pretty cool to start in Austria and end up crossing the border to Italy or Switzerland..
i snowboard as well, i was in keystone riding a couple weeks ago. it was fucking great. i want to ride in the alps now goddammit.
It's pretty damn awesome. If you get a chance to go, go to Ischgl in Austria. It's awesome for boarding (best half-pipe I've tried ), absolutely huge and you can go to Switzerland on your board. Also they have the best after ski parties
I'm jealous, Ive only skied in the northeast USA, I hear the west coast is great. The Alps though, that sounds like a fantasy.
