i have, numerous times. through dreams and also going there directly from a waking state. once i found myself almost pulled onto the astral plane while driving, and i totalled my car. it's very much a real state of being, much more than this place we call reality.

 

i've fallen asleep at the wheel too...

I think this penomenon is related to sleep paralysis.

When I was a young child I once woke up paralysed and was crying out so someone could hear me. It is the only time I ever remember waking up and being paralysed.

All the other times are more spaced out, but flying features in most of it.
