*~ahh those were the days~* **Ripped jeans . Flannels over band shirts . Doc Martens . Heroin overdoses . Loud guitars . and lets not forget all that Teenage angst***i miss the good ole days of bands like Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Stone Temple Pilots.****What is your theory on how grunge was killed, not just the music but the clothes, the attitude and lifestyle in general?????
thats why i always try to stay away from getting used to something. you never know when something will come up.
If grunge is dead, how do you explain that shit in my shower? PS: Grunge killed itself. Nirvana blewup with Kurt Cobain's face, Pearl Jam rejected success, Jane's Addiction didn't put out a conventional album for over a decade, R.E.M. was too shaky, and the rest seemed unfit for or rejected fame and huge success. The most successful (and in my opinion, the best) band of the early 90s alt. movement was Smashing Pumpkins. Who else celebrated such success for so long? Who else had the fame along with the integrity?
i wonder when the time will come around for us to wear those clear pants like iggy pop has???????**no more playing "what kinda panties does she wear?"**i saw the smashing pumkins for my 13th birthday, they put on a wonderful show but Billy seemed like a stage hog, maybe with a little EGO problem. i know grunge isnt completely dead, there are still some undergrounds bands but i just miss it..................
What, you weren't aware of Billy's ego? Some SP fan you are! Corgan is one of the most under-rated guitarists of the 20th century, especially considering how much success he enjoyed. Although Jimmy Chamberlin was still the best musician of the group.
Billy was bad ass, i guess he earned the right to have a huge ego. I am a D'Arcy fan tho, she was hot. But so was the chik from Coal Chamber, guess its really just about any cute chik who can play an instrument Bad Ass................
Aww, no love for Auf Der Maur? Speaking of Melissa, what do you think of her solo album, if anything at all?
I certainly don't like how she felt a need to have her breasts hanging out at every possible opportunity. Then again, D'Arcy wore see-through shirts all the time... But, still, Melissa always seemed a little...sluttier.
i guess anything to grab attention, funny how the new pop stars can wear a belly shirt and it be all over the news but the grunge goddesses could have boobs hang out all over the place and i never read much about it in the papers..........**guess it was expected of them so no one payed attention
Untrue. Courtney Love's current stupidity has been all over the news. Is Frances still under her custody? If so, our justice system is useless.
I think they finally took her away, i feel so bad for that little girl....***anytime courtney thinks she is being thrown out of the spotlite she goes and overdoses or hits someone with something, such a media whore
if you could killed off courtney love and saved any other grunge star from the early 90s who wold it be????????
but i guess for some it is good to die young and famous, then your glory lives on forever. i think it makes a lot of stars more famous maybe even a legend. it does wonders for junkies, Sid Vicious for example, the murder of nancy and his overdose made him extremely popular with teenagers
Well, I won't say Kurt Cobain. That's the easy answer. Hmm... How about Pearl Jam's career? Or is that even worth it? Uhh...Certainly not Green Day's integrity. They had none to begin with. I got it! Louise Dean from Shiva! Hahaha But seriously, I don't think I would change it. I mean, it is what it has to be. I can say I'm happy with the way it turned out then. I'm not happy with the way things are now, but then, I think it all worked out as it should have.
