We get the local newspaper delivered every Sunday. I never read the sports section though. Not interested in that at all.
i wish i could afford to. i enjoy reading paper newspapers. but it's one of the luxuries i gave up long ago to help free up money for an internet connection. i talked to a lady the other day who's upset because a local newspaper is going out of business. she's upset because the paper newspaper is going the way of the dinosaur. she's an older lady and i don't think she wants to embrace the new technology to that extent.
i need to buy a newspaper so i can wrap all those toner cartridges properly for the recycling fund raiser. fucking things take up a lotta room and are fragile to boot. dammmit.
I don't know, maybe I'm old fashioned, but I really enjoy having a paper version of the news that I can hold in my hands, leaf through the pages. It's just different. Other than that, I get most of my news through NPR reports, or my grandmother (although I do love her, she tends to get her stories mixed up a lot, but hey, it's entertaining!).
I don't keep up with the news. I used to like the Sunday papers when I lived in the UK. Lots of opinions and interesting articles, but I really can't remember the last time I bought a paper. I never(hardly ever) read the news online. I just can't be bothered.
i subscribe to the news paper... not because i like it, but out of habit....I have a morning ritual and reading the paper is part of it, reading it online would take away from my early morning peace and quiet...the computer doesn't get turned on till 7am and i'm up wayy before that wow im turning into an old person help me please
Same here. I've been reading newspapers every day since I was like 7. My dad is a journalist and he would always bring newspapers, so it kinda became a habit. And there's nothing better than drinking coffee on a Sunday morning and reading newspapers.
Exactly!!! That's my Sunday morning routine after breakfast. A coffee and the paper, and do not disturb me until I have finished.
Rarely. New York Times, New York Post, Newsday, Daily News. But it's mostly internet and I pick up the free Village Voice sometimey. Edit: As a matter of fact, I get most of my news on Internet radio (NPR and Bloomberg News) while I'm getting ready in the morning.
The coupons in my Sunday paper are almost all crap. I used to be able to find all kinds of good ones, and could save quite a bit since they would double them up to .99 where I shopped. Now there's next to nothing. Conspiracy I tell you!
someone i work with buys the paper every sunday and leaves it at work, so i read that most weeks, but i don't actually pay for it. i was in the habit of buying the paper once a week or so a couple years ago when i had no TV or internet.
I steal the neighbors newspaper. Wel, I dont steal it, they know I take it. Its free for them, and they dont read it, so I do. The school distric here sends a free newspaper to every kid's home in middle school and high school. Its A Hearst publication, so Theyre really conservative. We have an independent newspaper, The Press, and thats free. Its an awesome newspaper. The editor, Margaret Downing is a cool bitch.
We get the local free paper but I don't read that. Occasionally my dad buys me The Guardian. Then I read it cover to cover. To be honest, I prefer reading it on the internet. I'm not someone who could read it regularly and if we buy it and then I don't read it all, I feel wasteful. Reading on the internet's free, I don't have to read it all. Also, I hate Michelle Hanson. Stupid bitch.
