who's told their parents

Has anyone here told their parents that they smoke weed?
What were their reactions and do they let you smoke?

 

I havent told my parents, but i think my dad knows for sure, we jsut saw wish you were here ( a pink floyd tribute band) it was me, my dad, n 2x of my friends. my dad kept sayn he smelt dope and weed. idk i might tell em i do. he has ordered things offline for me, from hippieshop.com and there were high times links and he brought those up 2 me. so im sure that he knows that i smoke weed. u think i should tell em?
He asked me if i was a dead head bcuz i liked the grateful dead, he knows about phish also. idk i might let em know. then mayb well toke up 2gether.... ha.

 

My Dad knows I smoke a few times a week he's pretty chill with it. My Mom on the other hand sort of knows but I never like TOLD her. If at Anytime she sees my paraphernalia she gets pissed off though, she thinks I got rid of all my pipes, my grinder, etc., but they've been merely re-located to a better spot. She's not a snooper.

The only problem with having one parent who gets mad, and another who doesn't care is I'm unsure how to cover my shit, do I HAVE to worry about hiding my shit, or can I let it sit. I'd much prefer if both were against it, or both were for it, but it's not too big a deal.

 

Well they just kind of "FOUND OUT" so to speak, but they smoke too so its no problem really with either, I've found if your honest with your parent's, they trust you more.

I don't have to tell anyone.....people know I smoke weed when they first lay eyes on me, but that's probably because I am always wearing hats with weedleaves on them. haha plus, I just have a stoney ass face.

 

My ex boyfriend used to sell weed, and he used to keep it at my house and my parents didn't care. They used to be big stoners back in the day, so I don't think they would care if I do it.

One time me and some of my friends were smoking on my porch, and my dad came out and was asking who has the weed, and he seemed pretty pissed. I was sooo scared. Then my dad asks to see the weed, so we showed him and he goes holy shit! i wish i could have some of that haha.. so he didn't care. When he told my mom, she just told me not to do it so much anymore.
That was about 2 years ago, and my brother told me that my mom told him that she knows I smoke, so I guess its cool with them!

i've thought about telling them, but i think they would be pretty pissed about it...

 

I'm in sort of a situation here I smoke inside and I can't hide the smell, recently they've been smelling a "weird" smell in the halls. My dad says it smells like pot. I don't know if they suspect me of smoking, but I don't think I can continue lying about the smell. Mom was a smoker when she was younger and Dad's tried cigarettes once. I don't know if I should tell them or not. They've never really been into any sort of anti drug message...

 

its up to you man, and to HippieAtHeart, that's awesome. But i am getting entirely too fat. I have to start bringing healthier munchies. lol

my mom knows. shes used to really hate it.... now she thinks marijuana should be legal.

 

parents will always be less pissed if you out right tell them, then if they catch you lying about it.

ive smoked with my mom on a few occasions, we have good times. my dad apparently used to be a total weedhead but now he's more conservative about it. either way, now that i have more independence, i'll learn on my own... but for those that have to hide it, that harsh blows

 

by the way you described your dad i wouldnt recomend you tell him. but thats just me

 

Oh yeah man, I told my parents as soon as I got in trouble with the law with it. : P

They were pretty mad but Ive yet to tell my father that I know he smokes so im not sure how to bring it up either .

 

yeah.. i just need a subtle way to inform then about it before i tell them, cause right now they have a really negative view of it... thinking i might leave some articles open on the computer or something...

im not telling my parents until im living on my own and have a decent job, then i can rub it in their faces. right now... all it would bring me is a major smackdown and a night of screaming and crying.......... aint gonna happen.

 

i am fortunate enought to have a family that embraces the herb but still takes care of their responciblilities... i have too .. until i found other substances ..working on that part
