Every map or globe you look at always has north at the top and south at the bottom. Why is this? Who decided it should be this way. I say let's turn everything around and put south at the top for a change. Then we could call Australia the land up over. The state of Florida would look like the tail of the U.S., which it is. All of the leftists would still be in California except they'd now be on the east coast. Was it Horace Mann that said "Go east, young man, go east". True, that would necessitate turning all the place names over, too, so that they can be read without standing on your head, but this would be a minor inconvenience to pay for the sake of fairness and equality.
I have a globe of the earth on my desk and it’s a simple matter of pushing the release pin and flipping it over :2thumbsup: Hotwater
Fun fact, when I was in college I used to study in the African American section of the library (because it was a great spot to pick up chicks ). On the mural, they had a map upside down (so Africa would be on top). Nothing wrong with that.

I was disappointed too, I thought there'd have at least been one porn reference and a bit of talk about coital positioning by now, but no
I suggest placing the Earth's axis of rotation horizontal. Then no country is 'on top' or 'down under'. .
I like it the way it is, why fix something that isn't broken? That would be like putting the 12 at the bottom of a clock and the 6 at the top. Too confusing.
That, also, is a good idea, And maybe the direction of the hands should go the other way (I can't say counter-clockwise because then it wouldn't be.)
It doesn't. If south would quit being such a pussy and start being a bit more aggressive. Then maybe the north can get off for once without doing all the work.
