Why do people hate on Lil' Wayne ?

I dont really get why people cant stand him.

If you watch any of his interview's he is hilarious even though he does have a little bit of an ego...but who would'nt if you were him ?

And most of his songs are really catchy.

This and also because he can't sing and he VERY poorly fake sings with a lot of help from mixers, and he's gay.

I dunno.. I like a couple of his songs.. But Im addicted to bass. damn near anything with good bass is ok in my book.. I gotta admit, I know the words. I get the stoner part of his music too..

 

Yea. Im addicted to bass to BUT, If you actually listen to the lyrics nobody else rap's like him.

He has his own style.

Yeah that does get a little annoying of him always saying it.

But if you were number 1 selling artist right now and have been since his last album dropped.

I had the pleasure of riding in the car with my older brother for about....three hours one night listening to this man's 'music'...
I do not know the details of my brother's stereo system in his car, but it was all he spent his money on,
and was loud. I couldn't lean against the back set because the vibration rattled my ears so much. It made the rear view mirror fall off half way through our ride, and on of the windows kept sliding down. We also got a ticket =P

So anyway, I have hated lil wayne ever since. That nasty laugh thing he does, it repulses me.
I vomit at the thought of him.

i love rap, but i generally like some stuff pretty different from what i hear often if i flip through the radio or tv. usually, not always but usually some chiller stuff. some of its more popular than others, but idk. also like a lot of older stuff

what can i say, i love some of the older style stuff as much as the more current stuff i like.

really, thats just a couple songs i like by various artists. idk, i don't really follow the music world too closely, but i know what i like and i find it, whether or not it's popular. for instance talib kweli got pretty popular in the last couple years, has done some shit with people ranging from justin timberlake to krs-one to norah jones, it's ridiculous. but the man is badass, so why not? i don't dislike lil wayne cause he's doing well, i dislike him based on the fact that what i've heard of his stuff i just plain didn't like.

but i did see most of the interview whimbrel mentioned with him and katie couric, and he does seem like a decent guy, so whatever. i just think his music is overrated, thats all
