I'm sorry, I thought your argument was that ANYONE regardless of anything EXCEPT the drug, would experience the same effects...
Word, I view or at least define mind as a separate 'entity' than the brain though and I don't really care to turn this into a monism/dualism argument.
Well, considering that is at the very heart of what we apparently disagree on, it's too bad you don't wish to discuss it. How's this... by whatever definition you choose to use for the words you use, I am sure you think you are right.
We are not in disagreement though, as you stated 'a smell from the enviornment has to be processed by the brain' so obviously a drug that is smoked will have to be processed as well, as I stated.
Why are you continuing with this? I've agreed that by your definitions, I am sure you are right... There is nothing else that can be said about this when you have shut the door on explaining how it is that you think the brain and the mind are separate things. Oh, and Sam... I've returned your negative rep to you... Hope you enjoy it as much as I did mine.
Ouch, so did we figure anything out? From my pov, in general, most people may have a similar experience, but no-one has the exact experience of another nor the same experience exactly the same twice! With the vague nature of that statement, I'll add that this argument, eh-hehm...I mean, discussion is one of the reasons I've studied anthropology and linguistics throughout my life. Now to redirect the post, how come some people view salvia as a positive experience and some view it negatively? That's the answer I seek when contemplating this specific entheogen. Is it merely environment, past experience, future lessons to be learned, specific lessons being refused by the experiencer or simply the trickster element we find so fascinating yet pervasive and annoying, haha! Happy holidays my fellow adventurers!
It appears what you see on salvia will not be a vocabulary textbook.. http://www.sadlier-oxford.com/vocabulary/Hangman/Level C/Level C Unit 2/hangman.html
I found out today people often see a lady after smoking it. The first time I tried it I saw a crystalline woman.
