it makes no sense. and half are not even anti-christian. they are anti all religion. take your bitching somewhere else. i mean would you expect people to post threads about how they hate the grateful dead in the grateful dead forum? no.

The best place to post that you dont like something is where it is happening....

Would you post that you hate the grateful dead in the religion forums... no.

Trolling is stupid but giving your facts and logic behind why you dont believe in something and questioning others is another. It gets people to reflect and think to themselves... why do i believe in what i do?

I think people mainly post here for a couple reasons.

    1) There are people who frequent here quite often.
    2) Christianity is the main religion in the West, so people naturally associate it with religion in general

a better analogy would be "would you post that you hate the Dead in a Doors forum"

You should hang out in the pagan sections, most of that is good theological discussion, or us picking on fluff bunnies, but no religion bashing, folks leave us alone. Well except for the occasional misguided bible thumper.

I've expressed my views that I do not believe in organized religion and have certainly cut down my fair share of bible thumpers, but I think my reasoning is pretty sound. I'm not an athiest, more an agnostic. I believe in a higher power, I just don't lay claim nor believe anyone else's claim that they know what that higher power is. I believe it will be revealed to me upon my passing.

My reasoning for disliking all organized religion is the divisiness and hate it creates in this world. Look at almost ever major war this world has been through. These wars have basic roots in the argument, 'my god is better than your god'

It is my opinion that organized religion has created far more problems in this world than good outcomes.

There are certainly peaceful practitionars of all religions, but for the most part outside of a few, I feel that most religions supresses free thinking and personal expression, thus lining people up in brain washed fashion to support beliefs and causes that they haven't even stopped to give rational thought about.

it's not about being anti-anything, for the most part. It's just critisizing the roll of religion in modern society. Many of the structures were formed in a time where it was socially acceptabe, but life has evolved and the Church hasn't.

Well, I'll continue with the analogy about posting anti-dead stuff in the greatful dead forum.

People are often very passionate about the Greatful Dead (aswe all know) however, very few people are passionately anti-Dead. I would expect that should such an individual turn up on these forums they would post frequent anti-Dead diatribes in the Greatful Dead forum.

Now obviously lots of folks are very passionate Christians. It is equally obvious that lots of folks are just as passionate in their hatred of Christianity. Now we couldn't very well have a Christian haters forum, which means then that the next obvious place for Christian haters to congreate is the Christianity forum.

People ususally don't like people they stole from, and most of christianity's practices came from much older pagan beliefs.
