    We don’t call them high-waters along the new england seacoast we call them clam-diggers, and they’re only ‘style appropriate” if you happen to be clamming at that precise moment.

    i do it because all my shorts are dirty and it cools off my lower legs. the ankles let out a lotta heat, surprisingly. also, i just don't like feeling anything around my ankles. makes me itchy. like socks and shoes and stuff.
