Why do some of you use the invisible mode?

I noticed in the user CP in options there is a place that you can choose to be invisible.

It says:

Invisible mode allows you to browse the forums without appearing in the 'Currently Active Users' lists.

and it allows you to check it or not.

So my question is:

Why do you use the invisible mode?

If you post actively we know you are here. You are not fooling anyone?

What gives?

Anyone want to clue me in?

Ah, so that is what BRAD is doing.

 

Personally, because at times I am not the swiftest. I log in and then get busy doing something else and forget to log off. This way it does not look like I am on for days without a break. Stupid, either way. :blush5:

I dont like people to know when I stalk their profile albums...it stops my name from showing up in the profile visits box

Also there are a few other ways you can do it without leaving a trac...

yep..you can go directly to the albums via the dropdown menu in the usernames

 

so the trolls dont pm me.. "Please sell me some acid".. of course I have that blocked now too..

Not sure. It is under user cp. edit options. It is, use invisible mode.
