no believer, no apostle, no one called The Messiah by his current pagan
"christian" name of "jesus" until the 16th century.

a verse from tyndales "bible" translation of the 16th century follows:

"And the thryde daye was ther a mariage in Cana a cite of Galile:
and the mother of Iesus was there."

"Iesus" is pronounced (ee-aa-soos ie: yeah zeus).

a search for "tyndale" on google will reveal links to his translation.
the letter "j" was added to the english alphabet shortly after
    tyndale's translation.

and a review of acts 7:45 and hebrews 4:8 in the "king james version"
reveals that "Joshua" of the "Old Testimonies" bore the same name as
The GOD given name for The Messiah. at least the translators of the
    kjv were consistent.......

    also from the "amplified bible":

"She will bear a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus [the Greek form of the
Hebrew Joshua, which means Savior], for He will save His people from their
sins [that is, prevent them from [Marvin Vincent, Word Studies in the New
Testament.] failing and missing the true end and scope of life, which is GOD]."

of all names, why transliterate the name given The Messiah, "The Son of The
    Living GOD"?

why? because such confusion denies "the simplicity that is in The Messiah"!

and "catholicism" and her pagan "christian" daughters are but the product of
the confusion that causes "strong delusion".......

yet, while there is breath(spirit) there is hope!

hope that there would be those who would "see", for those who "see"
will take heed unto The Call of The ONLY TRUE GOD to:

"Come out of her, MY people......."

those who "see" will "come out" of this wicked world(babylon) and her
systems of religion that but breed "strong delusion". indeed, they will
be "in, not of, this world" for they "see" that "the WHOLE world is under
the control of the evil one", he who is "the god of this world", he who is
    "the father of lies".

those who "come out" will "set their affections on things above" and as
The Messiah did, so also will they desire above all else:

"Father, not my will, But THY Will Be Done"!

simply, such a desire is "The Way to The Truth of The Life".......

    simple Childlike faith.......

peace, even as war(spiritual and carnal) rages....... pilgrim

[IMG] Why do they call The Messiah "jesus"?

because if they called him any of the things he called himself--"the way, the truth, the life"--they might feel compelled to actually practice those things, and that would be hard.

    one historical note:

till the middle of the 16th century the name pagan "chrisitianity" called
their "god" was "Iesus" because there was no "j" or "j" sound in the english language at that time. (check out the "tyndale bible" translation)

and the pronunciation of "Iesus"? (ee-aa-soos ie: yeah zeus)

yet even midst the confusion and "strong delusion" that is "chrisianity"
Truth yet rises and Truth is:

"The Messiah was a servant of The ONLY TRUE GOD" and His Brethren will
also be servants of The ONLY TRUE GOD, and as The Messiah, so also will
His Brethren desire above all else:

"Father, not my will, But THY Will Be Done"!

simply, such a desire is "The Way to The Truth of The Life".......

so simple a Child will understand.......

    Miracle Children....... HalleluYah!

peace, even as war(spiritual and carnal) rages....... francis
