Because the leaders are all selfish, lying, deceptive, decieving conservative pigs. who only seek to control and make money and wage wars. Simple as that.

Ego comes before all the things previously mentioned. It is no surprise that Americans are the most egotistical people on the planet. It is to the point where "we" are intentionally raising our kids that way. Without ego you have humility and with that, open-mindedness. You can see where the latter path leads. Ego paves the way for every negative human characteristic there is: intolerance, arrogance, presumptuousness, superiority complex, willful ignorance, stupidity and so on and so forth. This, I'd argue, is why our educational system "appears" to be failing; it is the people: the teachers and the students themselves, and NOT the classwork or how it is delved out, i.e. a very deep-rooted social issue.

Too distracted & misled by the Fed's and the Media machine to recall w.t.f. happened last month let alone whats gone on for the past 100 + years of our Nations History. Added of course to stigmericas points

Sort of ok thou as it seem's we're on the Roman's "Fast track to sucess" package so it wont be too much longer by my clock before the smoke is billowing from the Colosseum, thou I'm sure not fast enough for some.

    All Hail the Downward Spiral!

Becuase you've unquestionably got shit-for-brains as President, and evidently seem to eat anything the media throws down your necks (speaking of majority, not all).

Because human being are imperfect by nature and will always make mistakes

Because human beings are complex creatures and are unlikely ever to find a perfect system that will satisfy everyone and make sure everyone is both safe , happy and free (though 21st Century West Europe / Japan is the closest we ever got to that goal)

Don't forget ignorance. I've talked to people who didn't know what the Cold War was. You can't learn from mistakes if you don't even know what they are.

Well, do you mean then "Why does the American Consumer continue to fall for the endless shoddy products being pushed upon us by TV marketing?"
or perhaps "Why do we keep letting the FDA feed us what essentially amounts to rat poison on their assurance that it will heal our ailments?"

If #1: People dont see any options or cant afford higher quality alternatives to the crap ones sold at the stores.

If #2: If people lost their faith in what the Fed tells them, they would be forced to reevaluate just how much on the side of "We the People" the Fed really is and this would then become a political thread. :D

    Or is there a #3?
