Why is Mississippi the dumbest state???

i'm not trying to rip on anyone.. but seriously.. why is mississippi just the ghettoest, dumbest and dirtiest state out of all 50 states? and people are proud to come from there.. i just don't get it.. i've heard from people that have gone to college down there and they've all said it was some of the worst schooling in the world.. like completely dumbed down.. any ideas???

 

I always thought Alabama was the dumbest. Or New Jersey :tongue:

But if you think about it, one of the states as to be the dumbest, so why is it such a shock that one of them is so dumb? It's in the deep-south, they speak at a rate of a quarter of a mile an hour, and they hunt all day. Doesn't suprise me in the least.

 

Hey! I'm from Alabama. Some parts of it are pretty ghetto, but that's just lack of government funding and lack of citizen participants. And the blacks scare me here. Anyways, I always thought New Jersey was the dumbest state. And I do agree with the Mississippi thing. They can't drive either. They'll tail gate you and then when they get in front, they slow down and it drives me insane. And Texas. Bush is from Texas. There's got to be some link. I hate Republicans.

 

actually new jersey is 3rd for highest IQ with 111.. Alabama is 41st with 90.. and Mississippi at the bottom with 85

Don't generalize us. I don't hunt. Nobody in my family hunts. (That's immediate and extended, although my extended family and some of my immediate family don't live here. They live in Pennsylvania, New Jersey & California). And you really don't see many people talking like inbred flannel farmer-tan retards. They're out there, but they generally don't make public appearances, and there's not many of them, either.

ok.. then let me drop this one on ya.. why is the south so dumb.. sorry for anyone from the south but statisticly the south is almost all at the bottom of the IQ list.. whats so different from the north and the south that there is this much of a intellectual difference?

Yeah, I figured as much. Ready to go and support people who are dumb and ignorant when it comes to national security and war and money and above all, religion. I hate cars, or rather big SUVs and Hummers (because the South cares so much about presentation with big trucks and bigger cars than we do about the enviornment) that have the W stickers and Pro-Life stickers. And everytime I go into downtown Mobile, which I live in West Mobile (downtown is more liberal, and West is more conservative but alas, it's more dangerous to live downtown, too.) I see this one Hummer. Bright red Hummer and about five stickers that say we should support Bush, including the famous W sticker. And then another sticker on the bumper that says, "Yo Mamma Was Pro-Life Darling". Everytime I see that Hog on Wheels, I just want to throw something at it. Fuckers.

 

I'm looking for logical reasoning here.. not some shit for brains generalizations

is it the lack of acceptance of cultures in the south or is it the metality that "we just niggas sir" is programmed into their brains.. we all know from generation to generation that we try to bring our kids and grandchildren up the same way we were brought up(look at some of the food your grandparents made.. it was simple but tastey, they had to do this in the depression era.. cook with what ya got and make a meal out of it even if tis not much).. is that whats happening in the south.. just a sad cycle of ignorance and lack of knowledge being passed from one generation to the next
