Oh, thanks for your sincerity. I have a real problem sometimes trying to understand what people mean by their posts, so I appreciate it when they explain it as though I was real stupid. I find it very helpful, really. So, it seems, you see it all just like everyone else, like myself. But my experience taught me, that we can be better than that. And would it be mature of us, if we should derive our behavioral principles from animals? Seeing how far superior we are? It seems to me, we humans need to find good application for our human nature; that we cannot derive from the animalistic realm, us being superior... It is what they often call "searching for the purpose of one's life". I strongly believe it can be found, and it must be positive , filling everybody's life with light.
i'll be honest, i don't really think we're at all superior to animals. we're just different animals. you think an elk is superior to a jellyfish? nah. just different and fullfilling a different purpose. i find a lot of peace in knowing that i'm fulfilling my niche appropriately. you don't need good, you don't need evil, since both are made up principles.
you'd hate my house then. we consider ant crushing to be a hobby. i hate the little fuckers. well, if they're in my house, they're fair game. outside, only in large piles. then they must go. screw 'em.
And how do you explain, that we can create culture, we can think, understand the nature of the world, see into the future and the past -- does it not make us superior? Animals cannot do these thins? At least, we found no traces so far...
Hmmm well considering how many people are starving to death as I type this I'll consider it a fair balance
i guess the question would be, why did we evolve the need to when other animals didn't? they just don't need it. i don't consider it really to be superiority. i consider a necessity of our natural niche. not that it's really done us any good. all we have going for us is that we write down our nastiness, animals have the good luck to shrug it off and go on.
Completely agree. At my old place I had them ants. But that was 20 years ago, my young energy along with good chemicals did it. I just followed their paths and richly sprayed the thing over there. Soon they were done! And at my present place I used to have mice(!!!) and cockroaches, but now they are all gone and never show up again. I don't know; had always been lover of nature, plants and animals; but never minded handling them properly at home. I just think, there is enough space outside for all the flies, cockroaches and other nice creatures. Why won't they go there?
because all the good, easy food is in the house. i have two little girls. i've on occaision considered feeding them in a trough.
I'm convinced that demons are present on the earth, and that they are possessing people, for what ulterior motive I don't know. I wish they would fuck, because they are making people suck very badly these days.
yeah we fought constantly with my twin brother. That's why they would alway try to get rid of us by sending us away.
just remember the dark ages, the witch hunts, the plague, the crusades, etc, and chill with the knowledge that nothing changes.
So you don't think its "just us" or "just some evil in us"? Yea, that is obvious; and some reason, too, that humans themselves are not as bad, as things turn out to be. Hence, the only logical explanation: superhuman creatures of evil will.
No I mean I think there really are demons, lost souls, aliens, I don't fucking know, but things that are possessing the human mind and creating this mass confusion. It's one way of looking at it, but no more valid or provable than any other explanation. I believe there is a dream world like the native american indians believed in, and I think that we all make contact with spirits in our dreams that influence in ways we can never comprehend, in both good ways and bad.
Ah, much like Castaneda's stuff? I used to think that way, too. Then I read in one book something, that hit me as the most probable explanation to all that's going on. It's about demons being invisible power behind the wrong development of human society. It was based on the Bible and put it all very clever and logical. But what I liked most in this explanation, was the fact, that we humans are NOT THAT BAD after all. That we can resist that bad influence by knowing more about it and by changing our own thinking. And that changing of one's thinking makes one a happier person as well. So I liked it.
No it's my idea not Castaneda's. Who is this man, or is he just a cigar. Yeah sure we're not that bad after all, but it really depends who you are and where and when after all is for you, doesn't it. The world turns on its axis, one man works while another relaxes.
