Why take video games so seriously?

Some people are scary about the shit. One of my friends (of almost 4 years) started screaming and swearing about a game he was playing online (Halo) and I and another friend said like two words to him and he started cursing and screaming and swearing at us to be quiet and not talk because he was concentrating. I'd never seen him be so mean... I'd never been yelled at like that by anyone, and I'm going to admit, I left the room and burst into tears. Our friendship has been strained ever since.
What about these things does this to people?

i know what you mean.. my brtoher does be in his room shoutin and screamin at a football video game... its like "theyre not real people on the pitch they CANT HEAR YOU" lol ... it amazes me .. really does lol

Sometimes I do curse at other people I am playing against online though, but never at my friends or anyone sitting with me whilst I am playing.

 

video games are fantasy world but so is the world in which I currently reside. Some people prefer one fantasy over another.

 

If he is playin on live, it isn't the game that pisses him off. It is the stupid twats on the other team talkin shit. That is what generally pisses people off. The fuckin kids who never shut the fuck up.

 

i like RPG's sometimes not very often though.

i'm definitely guilty of video game rage. i've gone through several controllers that way...

i do try to control myself if someone is watching me though.

 

when i was a kid i used to get really frustrated if i was playing a really hard sega game, and i'm surprised i never destroyed a controller. then again, those things were built to last...

 

He was mad because he was losing and a couple of people quit that were on his team so they weren't covering him anymore. We were like, "what if their grandmother died or something? Real life beckons sometimes." He proceeded to tell us to fuck off and that he didn't care if the Pope died, they were supposed to be there to cover him. :willy_nilly:

 

I'm actually considering it, we have it and everything, it's just a question of can I be bothered to stand up and play on the wii long enough to actually complete a game. I don't think so.

A life without walkthroughs must've been a hard life indeed.

 

Hey you don't get it. When you are cappin fuckers all day and your team quits on you and you are left as a lone wolf to take on 4 people yourself IT IS FUCKIN HARD WORK! Hell yeah I would be mad if I sucked enough to lose. Too bad 2 nights ago I vsed 5 people myself first to 30 and I won. 30 to 23. But that is cuz I am so pro. ANYWAYS he got mad and yelled at you, I don't see the big deal in it. Girls PMS all the time and bitch and yell and do we hate you? No.
