...are women and men still being segregated by the two apart public restroom signs? "Mr. Public, take down these "ladies" and "mens" restroom signs if you wish to be an equal public place for persons!"--Tormentations lol.
Women must first learn how to pee standing up. It would cost too much money to convert the urinals otherwise.
Actually, it does. = (equals), the symbol, means "the same as". Hence equations. But I'll forgive your lack of logic. You seem fairly cool for someone with a 1971 Billy Joel quote in their signature.
Thanks, I appreciate that. I've used 1 out of how many logic points? Will quoting further Mitchell & Webb skits improve this score? Anyway, in terms of society men and women ARE, in fact, considered equal and yet not the same. By definition or not, I assume people know what I meant. How would you put it?
I would put it that equal is "the same as" by the definition of the word. However, if you are talking about men and women for the purpose of this thread, I would highlight the differing physical needs that men and women need from a restroom, notwithstanding the intimidation and risk of sexual assault that women may fear from sharing facilities with men, and back up your initial assertion. Besides, oh hostile one, I haven't quoted Mitchell and Webb once. You did - and I stole it. =P
Sorry. Just joking around. Nobody's hostile, least of all me. Just re-read your post and it appears that I misunderstood you, apologies for that. I was a little bit frazzled last night. Too much cheap booze mixed with anti-freeze.
Not sure what your problem is and why you feel the need to always be making rude comments... you must not be a very happy person.
I don't recall having ever spoken to you before. Am I wrong? It seemed like a pretty stupid comment, that's all.
Public mens' rooms are so fucking nasty. That's the only problem I have with the unisex rest room concept. The guys would bring the filth with them.
Actually, from what I hear, there's not a lot of difference. Most restrooms seem to be pretty clean, and I can remember a few times when the women's was much worse than the men's (according to my girlfriend).
I guess it's different in Canada. Several times (in the USA), I've had to guard a ladies' room door while my boyfriend was in there, because the mens' room was so terrible that he wasn't willing to touch anything in there. He has shown me a couple of examples that looked as if a herd of wild animals had trashed the place. :ack2: It was not in disreputable businesses either.
