Does everyone call Marijuana a drug. I don't think of it as a drugs. Drugs are meth, heroin, cocaine, lsd. Marijuana is a PLANT ... if you wanna get literal then its just the bud. But I hate it when people call it a drug.... Thats just my opinion....
ANYTHING that alters how the mind/body works is a drug, including food, caffeine, sugar, whatever. Marijuana IS a drug, but the term "drug" doesn't necessarily equal "bad". Wise up, homie.
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/drug It technically is a drug esp. now that is has legit medical use. I dont think the problem is with it being a drug, I think its with peoples views of what drugs are. Advil is a drug, but you don't typically see it referred to as one, because drugs are bad
Cocaine comes from a plant, LSD comes from a fungus, alcohol comes from fermented or distilled fruit and vegetables, opiates come from a flower. Don't justify your drug use by saying your drugs aren't drugs.
Marijuana is a drug, but so is water, air, etc. We shouldn't be trying to get people to stop calling marijuana a drug; we should be trying to get people to stop thinking "drug = bad"

Anything the government says is a drug warps 90% of society into believing its bad, thus making billions of dollars off of the population thru traffic laws and violations. They are the real enemies. Although marijuana, methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, crack are all considered drugs, i wouldn't call weed one. Mainly because the rest of the drugs make your teeth fall out, you can't eat, your heart might explode, up for days on end with horrible delusions, your sinus can be ripped apart, and chemicals from under your kitchen sink are added for a better high. Blame the government, ignorant parents, and 14 year old kids who think they don't have time after school to sell.
Thankyou machinist. language is comprised of words that have meanings and definitions. Regardless of what you personaly feel about it, you still have to rely on the accepted defintions of the words that comprise language.
Yes yes yes. Perhaps the government ought to consider calling themselves a drug... of course the act of voting would be made a felony by conspiring to traffic contraband (senator or representative) across state lines. I think the DEA should confiscate the government and do what it does to marijuana seized during drug busts.
There's a vast enterprise called "the war on drugs" that generates HUGE amounts of money for those against them. They know it's good for them to consider certain "things"illegal. Alcohol is legal because it's "good for society. Car wrecks, incarceratins, homicides,DD tickets, hospital stays--the whole gamut of the results of alcohol creates MONEYfor the powers that be. Weed and the rest of the drugs mentioned do the same things ,only are illegal--MONEY. It's all the same game-just played differantly. Sometimes I think legalisation of all drugs might be helpfull to weed out the feckless wastrels that show not a lick of sense.
@OP.. Trying to say marijuana is not a drug also shows your immaturity towards the plant and drugs in general.. IT IS A DRUG... until the majority of smokers admit to this.. then maybe the government and other political powers will take marijuana users more seriously.. until then... they will just think you're some uneducated ass clown..
why do they call grapefruits, grapefruits.. They look nothing like grapes and grow on trees.. The world may never know..
