What does everyone here know about Wica? A friend of mine told me today that it would be an exellent religion for me to study, perhaps take up but I'm not quite sure what it is.

well from both my reading and exposure to the few wiccans i've met, it isn't exactly any one particular thing. best answer would be to google up the many sites more authoritative then what any one person can tell you on here or elsewhere.

each coven is its own community, with to a large degree its own ways of doing things, though shairing many symbolisms and 'tools of art' in common.

each coven, and often each individual practitioner, creating and maintaining their own 'book of shadows', i.e. their personal collection of rituals and symbolic associations.

primal points of the year and of the moons phases are generaly considered opportune 'power' moments at which to hold/celebration/ritual.

while there is a lot of vested misinformation out there, many good references have been published by people within it as well.
