Repulsive "Wifely Expectations" pact emerges in Iowa kidnap case FEBRUARY 17--This country, as you know, is filled with the deranged. And then there's Travis Frey, a 33-year-old Iowa man who is facing charges that he tried to kidnap his own wife (not to mention a separate child pornography rap). Frey, prosecutors contend, apparently is a rather demanding guy. In fact, he actually drew up a bizarre four-page marriage document--a "Contract of Wifely Expectations"--that sought to establish guidelines for his spouse in terms of hygiene, clothing, and sexual activities. In return for fulfilling certain requirements, Frey offered "Good Behavior Days," or GBDs. Each GBD, Frey wrote, could be redeemed by his wife to "get out of doing the things" he requested daily. A copy of the proposed contract, which Frey's wife never signed and later provided to cops, can be found below. While we normally point out the highlights of most documents, there are so many in this demented, and very graphic, contract, we really can't do it justice. So set aside ten minutes--and prepare to be repulsed. (4 pages) (heres the link with it: http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/0217062contract1.html)
well... there's stuff in there that, erm, works with some types of relationships. And it is written out, it's not like he slowly built up these expectations and never told her about them. I mean, it's not a good thing for everyone or even most people (myself included) but she did have to read it and know what the relationship was like
now thats the shit I'm talkin about.....too bad there isn't anyone out there that would be dumb enuf to sign that....fucking feminists
it's like a m/s or d/s relationship gone wrong, where the m or d doesn't realize the other person is, well, a person still *sigh* some people
I agree with you ihmurria, it's really crazy that this woman become involved with someone like that. I mean, who in their right frame of mind would agree to a list like that? I know I sure wouldn't.
if she reads that and then signs it, it's her own fucking fault. I mean, this guy just comes right out and says what he wants. I'm sure there is a chick like that out there somewhere, but all the ones I know would laugh in his face.
I would have taken the list, torn it to bits, thrown it in his face, and walked away. No way would I have a man degrade me like that. Uh-uh, no way.
though, in some respects, who WOULDN'T like to know a person's expectations in advance so that you can talk to each other about them? this guy's a freak, but the idea in and of itself is a good place to start for a lotta people. though most normal people go through some marriage classes before gettin gmarried. i've always thought that that would save a lotta money in divorces if more people wrote out what they think their spouse should be doing.
That guy is a fucktard! I'm all for comprimising and working together but this guy has lost his freaking mind. Someone needs to sling shot him with a thong and 3" inch heels.
