Here is a GREAT article I wanted to share with all of you. It is a bit lengthy with a few videos so I am just sharing the link. Fire one up and check it out Stoners! http://chycho.blogspot.ca/2012/11/jimmy-carter-promised-to-end.html#TheHypocrisy:
Now that 2 states have decriminalized it I think other states will follow. Several states should have it on the ballot for the 2014 midterms, but I don't think Obama will end the prohibition. That's at least several years away.
I don't think he will end prohibition. I think it's gonna take more States decriminalizing it before the federal government will seriously begin to even think about ending it. We are YEARS away.
you do realize, another president in office can change it right back. and pick up right where they left off @ on the war on drugs..
well, it's an issue of state's rights vs. the federal gov't. look at the battle they've had in cali for years about medical weed.
I so need this to become a reality in my lifetime... the clock is ticking, and I'm not getting any better.
Even if its not legal I'm going to do it. I don't really care. I mean sure, it will make it eons easier but I'm not going to brace my lungs for this crap. I need my breath for the smoke anyways. I remember an Obama rally back when I can't quite remember. There were online questions put in from the internet. The number one, NUMERO UNO....When will you legalize marijuana? He shrugged it off and said absolutely not. It was way too extreme..for that time. Now that he's re-elected...A 'why not' mentality isn't something that I would be surprised to see him practice. If its going to be something he's involved in, it will definitely be later in his term, if at all.
The problem is the DEA. Let's say it's a few years from now and allot more states have decriminalized. At that point the DEA will be asked to make a judgement on it on a federal level much the same way they have been asked to rule on things such as synthetic cannabis recently. And without the due process of law they were able to make it illegal. They did the same thing with MDMA in the 80's even though the medical community was saying it had potential and they needed time to study it. The DEA is not qualified in the same way the medical community is to make such a decision, they are just cops, but they can say they know better. They will never decriminalize because without pot their department can not justify it's massive funding or employment. Their kids won't eat in a world where weed is legal because daddy won't have a job. Plus once weed is legal, people will begin to move onto other drugs, maybe want to move to a system like Sweden where users of hard drugs like heroin are viewed as a health issue not a criminal issue. So we have even more of a threat to their job. Every other illegal drug put together does not equal the amount of people who use weed. To allow them any say in the matter is a conflict of interest, but they answer to no one. Nixion set them up this way, and nothing has changed since the 70's when they were founded. Add in the fact that pharmaceutical companies will fight to the end with their lobbyists in DC to keep reefer madness alive and I think we are years off from true legalization. Especially in traditionally very conservative states like Oklahoma where hash gets you one year in jail and a life sentence for a second infraction. Do you really think they will support pot on any level any time soon? I doubt it.
The drug policy of Sweden is based on zero tolerance, including cannabis, focusing on prevention, treatment, and control, aiming to reduce both the supply of and demand for illegal drugs. Enforcement features widespread drug testing, and penalties ranging from rehabilitation treatment, and fines to prison sentences up to ten years long. The general drug policy is supported by all major political parties, and according to the opinion polls, the restrictive approach receives broad support from the public. A study conducted in 2000 supports the view that the new, tougher policy has had a preventive effect on drug use. A report by the UNODC praised Sweden for having one of the lowest drug usage rates in the western world, and attributes this to a drug policy that invests heavily in prevention and treatment (including free community services), as well as in strict law enforcement. The conclusions of the UNODC report have been criticized for being unscientific and fundamentally biased in favour of repressive drug laws, since Sweden was the fourth largest donor to the UNODC in 2007. According to the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA), in 2005, the rate of drug-related deaths per capita in Sweden was more than twice that of the Netherlands. White House Drug Policy Director Kerlikowske in 2011 cited Sweden's Drug Control Policies as Model for U.S; prevalence rates for cocaine use in Sweden are barely one-fifth of European neighbours such as the United Kingdom and Spain.
If you want to trim programs from the government, then we should first target those that are ineffective. The DEA for example. The prosecution of the drug war is an enormous drain on the peoples treasure to what end? It is a pseudo military intelligence complex. The only threat from drugs is to homo genus thinking. I've never relied on the end of prohibition but in being anonymous. Everyone should learn to care for themselves. I am skeptical in the end of political efforts and feel to be responsible for your own space is the expedient way to good governance.
Obama is a most exceptional curiosity. He has the illuminati strongmen of the world working for him. One was Hillary, she is involved in some heinous things to put it lightly, hence her resignation. Petraus too, that new woman Susan Rice, What he is doing is employing as many corrupt people as possible so that at a crucial moment a lot of changes can happen, if he didn't do this, and just did the stuff America wanted, he'd have ended up dead like JFK. if you don't believe me, he just last week declared Israel's lobbyist group a terrorist organization and that there are many illuminati infiltrations within the government and are subject to prosecution. While you do have to read between the lines because he can't openly say this, his press release speaks volumes if you study deep into what is going on right now, I'll share some incredibly interesting puzzle pieces, BTW I mean illuminati only because it seems the most common word for organized corruption and its what they consider themselves to be, gods without a conscience not giving a fuck, 9/11 is tiny compared to what they want for the world. This is a confession of an israeli lobbyist of 9/11 being their doing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M84l19H68mk It may not seem that way unless you factor in what he's not saying, he tallies off a huge list of state sponsored false flag terrorist actions over the centuries then advocates a new one. What that means is he wants his country or the various illuminati players to create an incident , maybe a 9/11, maybe smaller, to start war with Iran, and blame a scapegoat for the incident itself. If you learn what a false flag is you're making the world a better place, 9/11 was one. http://www.veteranstoday.com/2012/1...rs-inside-us-government-intelligence-analyst/ This is incredibly important commentary on Obama's press release about this issue. I'm sure he'd have legalized it if he were allowed to, but remember the black ops, military, and etc launder drug money, so does Romney. When you tie this into anonymous claiming to have saved elections from hacking by Rove and co you really start to realize this is a rather large quagmire but its being handled with poise, and I can't wait for the show to start and these people to be prosecuted. I would only suggest that you pester the government about the reality of cannabis being a proven cancer cure, you'd have to be extremely paranoid or hopeless not to, its just clicking a button. https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/pe...gov&utm_medium=shorturl&utm_campaign=shorturl It upsets me no one has been smart enough to make a petition like this, but they've made many petitions asking for "cancer research" Here's a great movie on the subject of cannabis oil eaten each day healing cancer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0psJhQHk_GI The US government has a patent on cannabis as an anti-oxidant, they know it heals cancer, and I suppose Obama does. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s9QA5B6U86s Must see film about the Bush crime syndicate and Romney's ties to the Benghazi attacks, why wouldn't you cause a terrorist attack to try to discredit the President ? Watch it. So, if you're pissed at Obama for not legalizing it, its not him that is the problem. Its kind of like if you're an animal on a factory farm and you don't know humans exist far away that want to save you. Well, the universe is gigantic and teeming with life, that we have been separated from other planets and people's is sad, but that's the only reason Obama is even here to help us, Think about it for a long time.
I don't think obamas gonna do shit (in terms of prohibition) He can't waste any money fighting it, and he can't go around endorsing it. If this were to fail, he'd end up looking like a jackass, it's best for him to just do nothing about it.
