Do you ever get this? When someone says this to imply that they're really busy and they sort of give you a task to remember, as if to imply they're too cool to remember silly things. It's probably fine most of the time if it's you asking something from them, but I got this the other day from someone in a different manner. The thing that the person (she) supposedly wanted to be reminded of was something that would have been more to her benefit than mine, so that's why I viewed it a as a subtle power move.

She said "you should have rang me the other day when [so and so] happened". I said "you never gave me your number". She said "oh, am, I'll give you the work number". We don't get along so maybe she's not comfortable giving me her number. Then she said "actually, will u remind me next day you're here and I'll write it down and give it to you". I just said "look, when you're ready to give me the number to me I'll take it from you". I was politely saying "no" and I was implying that she possibly already knew it as we were speaking. I got the impression she didn't have this "work" phone on her at the time... so what good would that be if I was ringing her.
