I Live About 200 km Inland.....Mostly Just Get Moderate Dry Winds.....Love The Wind Ahead Of ,And During A Thunderstorm (ozone in the air).........Also Love A Gentle Salty Sea Breeze Blowing Off The Ocean........On The Now Rare Occasions I Go On Holidays.... Cheers Glen.
I live right next to the north Pacific. I LOVE stormy, nasty weather. Dark skies. Pounding surf. And rain that just kind of goes by but never falls. I've stood on the beach in 90mph gales. You have to lean into the wind or get blown down the coastline like a piece of paper. x
i love love love a wild storm, the crazier the better, but i also fly gliders and on days i fly just a gentle breeze is best
is that all? i had 1 crush my tent and stop less then 3 inches from crushing my skull still love the wind, now i just make sure the trees around me are good n strong before pitchin my tent
Yea but this wind is all the time. Every time its a little windy I can hear why house cracking and having watch a tree break off and fall right in front of you I believe its scary, I could be dead like that(*snap finger*)
Ohhhh... I just love the wind. I remember when Hurricane Ivan came through Alabama a few years ago... it was strong enough that we got hurrican force winds way inland. It was sooo much fun, I stayed outside on my porch through most of it. On a normal day though, I had rather just have it really, really windy... like to windy for a kite I guess.
I was in NW Alabama during Hurricane Camille. At the time, it was the strongest winds I had ever seen. And that was 300 miles inland. x
I love light breezes during hikes on hot, sunny days, but kite wind is great as well! AND, I have to agree that wind through caves are the coolest!
I live in Indy obviously an' personally I really like a nice cool breeze but only during spring an' summer.
I hate the wind..probably has something to do with being in the middle of tornadoes as a kid, being scared shitless, and growing up in the Inland Empire of California with all its wind, fires, mudslides, and quakes. We routinely have semi trucks flipping over on the freeways... Besides that, I went to university in Winnipeg (Canada), the windiest city in North America..which makes Chicago look warm and calm. I remember going outside in the winter (9 months of that, too), and getting blown down a couple times..not to mention getting frozen extremities, snot, and not being able to breathe. Fun times...
