Wiping my drive

Im selling my computer this weekend and i wanna know some ways to wipe out my drive. I dont have a cd rom for vista. the guy put CCleaner on here.

are there and safe programs out there or can CCleaner do it?

Do you want to wipe it completely or just reformat to when windows was fresh?

 

ccleaner won't work if you want to erase all the files on your drive, you need another software for that or you could just wipe your drive while installing your fresh OS

 

i think bleachbit has option to wipe unused space, or whole drive clean so there would be no windows.

if you are just looking for (nonsecure) way to reset windows to ractory condition, it depends on the make/model as to how/if you can do that.

 

Acronis True Image has an option to write zeroes to the HDD. Its more thorough than just formatting, it ensures that the data can never be recovered.
