So I have always liked wire wrapping but could never do it myself. I have seen a lot people who make the pendants but always lack the necklace part. or just have their pendant on a simple cord. Would anyone like to collaborate? I make necklaces but I lack the pendants so I figured it would be a win win for whoever wants to put two beautiful works of art together. I have been working with sterling silver wire and silver plated so I work with any type of price range.

did you make those necklaces up there? i make hemp necklaces and i can do some wire wrapping too. i think it would take too long to make a hemp necklace and put a wire wrap on it, so i sell them with simple chords or as pendants.

Yeah, I made the necklace but not the pendant. Which is why I wanted to collaborate with someone. I started dabbling in making my own pendant though but nothing like the pendants I like. I make hemp necklaces too and it doesn't really take me all too long. I used to do that for my friend then I started making these wire necklaces. I always felt that people who sold just pendants had more curb appeal if they sold necklaces with them, but then maybe that is just my experience. I knew a bunch of people who sold wire wrapped pendants but was always asked for a necklace chain or whatever so they could wear it instead of put it in their pocket.

yes i know which is why i alwayz put them on something. i do strange things w/ my hemp weaving, i got sick of the standard spiral/square knots everyone else does. i created my own stitching patterns, like the dna pattern, or snakeskin look. i started to work with colors, and since i live in a beach town/city in florida ppl dig them. i make them look beachy, bright, and pretty much for chicks from 20 to maybe 40. i live in a city w/ like 10 bars in a mile and a half radius downtown, so i hit up the drunks. and its somewhat of a college town too. that helps a lot.

i never seen necklaces like the ones you have up there before. how do you make similar things to that? dont wanna cop your style cuz ill make my own style. but i think they are cool.
what i did w/ the wirewrapping, is ever since i started w/ hemp, i would look at different things ppl did things w/ wire. looking at every wire book i could find, reading various tutorials online. started to print out as many neat tutorials as i could, and bought the wire. also planning/visualizing what i am going to make way before i ever make it, helps. so learn different techniques online and study how ppl do them. if you go to wirewrap (dot) org you'll see a gallery of pendants that are amazing. it would take years to get that good!!

That's cool, I currently reside in a weird town, it's not too far from a college town but the market isn't too good for me to sell so I usually hit up local festivals. There used to be bars up and down the block where I like to vend but they either went out of business or burnt down. Thanks for liking my necklace I usually get compliments or disbelief that I hand wove something like that. Most people think they are machine made but the blisters on my hand tells me otherwise. I don't really like the square/spiral knot either, I have been dabbling with trying out the josephine knot and whatnot but alas, I kind of got over it. Ever since I started wire wrapping, I found out that I could stare at a piece(not a intricate piece like a lot of wire wrappers do) but simple ones and can imitate them. Of course I add my own little twist. By the way the style of the necklace I do is called a viking knit, really cool stuff. You can check out a lot of different things people do with that style.

I wire wrap. I have one wire item I made in my photo gallery that I can share but have yet to post my wrapped stones. I am sure you must have found a collaborator by now though.

Alas, sadly no. I have been on hiatus on my jewelry making and have been focusing on my main passion which is culinary. Everyone I talked to into collaborating with me always backs out.... I don't know why, I feel like my prices are very fair.

I will dig in my jewelry and see if I have any wire wrap stones left. If I do I will post a picture. If you like them quote me a price. I am out of wire right now. here is a photo of some old work.

You could always make necklaces out of my wire dream catchers but I can only work with copper, brass and gold. I have trouble finding affordable silver these days.

i love to wire wrap! there is a large crowd of wrappers in chicago. some do crazy, intricate wraps, others do very simple ones. i prefer nicer quality, than the low grade.

I still have these two in stock. I mostly would just want you to pay a two dollars plus shipping. I have paypal. I would not want to charge much for them because they are not my best work and I would be happy to get rid of them. The photo is their actual size.
