Wish I could meet everyone here

Do you ever wish you could somehow miraculously meet everyone on hipforums? I do. Sometimes I wish I'd just meet all you guys even in a dream or something. It would be so awesome. Sometimes I wish there'd be a huge modern day woodstock and we could all meet there.
What I'm saying is is that you guys are all seriously groovy!

i'd tend to agree. i wish i could meet you guys too. i live in a town that is crawling with hippies but i have hardly any friends here. 1 or 2 maybe. i have more here which is just as cool. i love you guys.

 

do you know.. that you just wrote everything what is also going around in my thoughts? A new woodstock, thats my biggest dream. well.. going back in time to the 60's and live there, and go to a beatles concert. thats my number one wish. Hold on, i just heard Johns dreamy voice: 'I read the news today, oh boy' on tv.

but 90% i would, & many i have..actualy quite a few ive met at gatherings & stuff
& imsure to meet more this year..
& a good number call me fairly often..
theres definately alotta amazin ppl to meet here..

Sure do.. feels like I'm the only hippy round these 'yere parts. probably cause I am. Sure, I've got stoner friends and environmentalist friends, but nobody else combines the two like I do *sob* HEMP FOR PEACE, DUDES!
But seriously. Us British hippies or "Brippies", new term I just coined there, should damn well get together. I know a lot of people meet at glastonbury, but damnit I'm a hippie I can't afford a ticket! Way too expensive. And fuck the Arctic Monkeys, that's square-bear music

 

Awesome! I so wish I could go back in time to the 60's! I wish hippies in my area could have the courage to come out and say hello...perhaps I'm the only one. I wish I could go around in a little hippie tribe like they did in the 60's.
And quoth the raven, I agree with you too. I also can't afford a ticket to Glastonbury and the chances are Tull and the Beatles won't be playing there.
Are there any hippie gatherings anywhere in the UK?

 

the euro gathering was in uk last year i believe but its my understanding that gathering for peaceful purposes is illegal in uk

Rock on, another Tull fan By which I assume you mean Jethro Tull, not some copycat band I haven't heard about. Loved their christmas album a few years ago, especially.. oh, damnit they're all good!
And soaringeagle; the government are working on it but for now private land is still private land. check back in a week or so.

 

Yeah! Jethro Tull totally rock! I bought their christmas album this year it was totally awesome! My favourite track was "Jack frost and the hooded crow" but I think I prefer the origional version. Tull are the best band ever and Ian Anderson is a rock God!

Gathering for peaceful purposes is illeagal in the UK? Man, I hate our government! I should really protest against this! At least soon Tony Blair is going.

I can only say: I AGREE! Im the only hippie in my town i think. i havent found anyone, and i am really searching as hard as i can. when i can live on my own, i wanna go to a place where there are many and many hippies.

 

Hey, you live in Holland! Go to Amsterdam, look around the railway station and the coffee shops. of course in the coffee shops you'll need to separate hippies from just plain old stoners, but both groups can be cool dudes/dudettes
Forget me not: I like Another Christmas Song, We Five Kings (awesome flute playing, wish I could play like that), and God rest Ye merry gentlemen (gotta get the sheet music for that, it fucking rocks, it'd be good for some busking 'round Yuletide). I'm not sure which version of Ring out Solstice bells I like better; they're similar but they both have different nuances. of course, I heard the one off Songs From the Wood way back in '93 so I may be slightly biased that way (yes I've been a Tull fan since I was five, as i've also been a Deadhead).

Me too! I agree completely! One day I'm going to live wild on free on the road with a tribe of hippies...only problem is I've got to find them first!
