I may be in the minority on this, but I enjoy a good workout after getting high. Not immediately, I normally vaporize a medium size bowl in my Volcano and then start drinking a pre-workout drink. 30-45 minutes later I start my workout, about 45-60 minutes of weight training and then 25-30 minutes of cardio, depending on my energy. I love the breaks in my sets, I feel the high combined with my endorphins flooding through my body, it's pretty amazing. Then I eat and smoke a bowl and sink into my couch from a very satisfying exhaustion.
lol my last job was at a gym, and all my friends went there so they would come over and we would blaze a bowl in the back room then they would go work out and i would go to work that was the shit lol
yeah.. that sounds awesome.. because i would definitely want a kid thats high as a kite to spot me when i'm benching.. nothing like dropping a bar and crushing my chest because your dumbass is high PS: most people don't look too highly twords people who get drunk in places that one shouldn't be drunk.. why should we hold different standards for someone who wants to get high
I've worked out high before, but mostly just going for a run. I kind of liked, but I would rather just chill and enjoy the high and workout another time. However, I do like to go for walks after smoking, that can be very relaxing.
I strongly disagree with this. I can workout, swim and even drive when I'm high. However these are all things that can be dangerous while drunk. That's just me though, and I find weed makes me even more careful when it comes to certain things. This obviously isn't the same for everyone though, so if you can't handle it high then just do it sober. But back to the topic, I love going to the gym and getting high right after my weights and cardio. One of the best highs imo is sitting in a sauna after an intense workout and just stoned out of your mind. Almost better than an opiate high.
sure you can "be more careful".. but really then you start over thinking things and that's when horrible mistakes can happen.. i've already stated in another thread here how responsible drug use leads to a more understanding of the drug itself and therefor possible federal decriminalization.. so i refuse to argue about this again.. being high anywhere and everywhere is far from being a responsible marijuana smoker.. i LOVE LOVE LOVE lifting while baked!! cardio is a different story. One time i went to LA Fitness high as fuck, and it's a HUGE gym, like 2 stories and what not. I was so overwhelmed by the amounts of people that I becme to shy to lift haha, so I ran six miles non-stop instead...but lifing while high is INCREDIBLE!
classic. way to waste data base space with off topic replies. (merely being an asshole) Why? Because YOU can't handle it? I can be high in public and no one would have a clue. Because I know how to act in public, whether high or not. It's the people who tweak out and act as if they're on 5 hits of acid that should stay at home. Onto working out high, I personally don't really like it. Maybe lifting, but not cardio. That's just too much. Haha.
haha or can't stop smiling and walk around grinning from ear to ear for no reason, that's usually my give away...but unless im absolutely BLITZED i can handle as much weight as normal...but i know myself too, if i was working as a spotter i probably wouldn't feel comfortable doing that baked...haven't had the opportunity though so this is all simply speculation
Ya, I work out by myself with free weights but either way I'm just high not impaired haha. I can only feel the high when I stop and rest between sets, and like I said it's a nice feeling. And my cardio is always tough to start but once I'm done I feel like fucked up from my endorphins and still being slightly high, it's pretty cool. It is key though if I workout high I must have a pre-workout drink or energy drink, otherwise I'd probably stop after the weight training and not do cardio. And I always wait about 45 minutes after I smoked.

"there's nothing wrong with being high man"... and yet you wonder why other drug users frown upon smokers.. there is a time and place for eveything
because being high doesnt affect your judgement, cognitive ability, or reaction times in the same way that alcohol does you dont act like a jackass when you are high, you mellow out and can concentrate more on your breathing when you are lifting thc also reduces lactic acid buildup in the muscles and reduces recovery time o yeah and the increased co2 levels and endorphins from working out get you pretty baked too

I've only done some push ups/weightless workouts after smoking. It is pretty exhilirating. Then one time (and I hope to repeat) I smoked a lot then went out for a middle of the night bike ride. The streets were completely empty and it was akin to the time we went to Six Flags tripping

I'm with jokerman on this one... being high can make some inattentive and lazy. Just because marijuana doesn't affect you the same way as alcohol doesn't mean it's a good idea to work out while high. If people are going to adopt the stance that there are no negative effects to pot and it's perfectly safe to do anything while high then any move to legalize it is dead in the water. Weed will affect people differently just like alcohol has different effects on different people. If you want to work out high- fine... but if you're working out with me I would respectfully request the spliff be held off until after we're done as I'd greatly prefer not to have an overwhelming urge to relax before pumping iron.
