When people go out to eat, they expect the food to be good, and most of the time, it is. But every once in a while, you get a meal that is just awful and the service to match. What's your worst meal ever? Mine was when I was still in elementary school. My mom took me to Shoney's an all-you-can-eat buffet and salad bar. I didn't want the buffet and ordered fish and chips. (I don't remember what my mom got, sorry) Anyway, after our salads, my food came out from the kitchen and I ate a few of the fries off the plate while my mom used the ketchup. When she passed the ketchup to me, I spilled it and when I grabbed my napkin to clean it up, a dead roach was under the napkin on the table. I freaked and shoved my plate away and unearthed another dead roach under one of the strips of fish on my plate. My mom found some more behind the wine list. When we talked to the manager, they told us they would only charge us for the salads. So, we went to the bathroom to wash up and calm down and then went to pay for our salads and no one was at the register. So we asked this other employee at the bar if she would check us out of the restaurant but she very rudely told us that that wasn't her job and to wait for the cashier. We waited 5 minutes and asked the hostess if she could find the cashier so we could just fucking leave already and she went to go find the cashier and never came back. After another 5 minutes, we walked out. First the roaches, then nobody wanted to take our money. Never went there again and the place closed down less than a year later. As far as I know, the Shoney's franchise is all but gone from Florida now.
I don't think I've ever had an experience as bad as that. I did find a dead cock roach in my hash brown potatos once at a local cafe. That sucked.
ew, thats disgusting... um, mine would be from my school. we have a stir-fry line most of the time. you can get chicken, shrimp, a bunch of veggies and noodles and sauce. well, i order chicken, broccoli, carrots, onions, noodles, and stir-fry sauce. well, when i get it back and go to the table to eat...its frozen cold. you'd think atleast some of it would be warm, atleast right...well no, it was pretty much all cold. nothing was cooked. it pissed me off to no end. for a restaurant bad meal - i went to an applebees with my family a few years back. everything that could go wrong, went wrong. bad service, bad food, bad drinks, bad everything. i ordered one of the hamburger meals they have - simple meal to cook - you have a hambuger, and its not that hard to grill a hamburger. well, that was raw, all red except for the outside. cheese wasnt' melted, mayo tasted bad. fries sucked ass. my lemonade glass was dirty. spoons, forks and knives were dirty. just a terrible night out.
I had really bad fried rice once with a rude waiter and I don't rmember what it was (swear to god I must be repressing the memory because it's so traumatic) there was some kind of foreign matter in there and it was just bad before that.....
The worst meal I ever ate was some food my old step dad cooked...he made spaghetti, and put ketchup in the sauce.
It would have to be some of those meals they served in the Army. They gave us shit that didn't even resemble food. Veal steak looked like a fucking cow pie, and tasted worse than a cow pie(theoretically; I haven't actually eaten cow pies). The grits tasted like ass hair and were as hard as soapstone.
I just remembered an incident. Years ago when I was still married to the Devil's concubine and the kids were little we went to a Caracker Barrell in the next town on our way to spending a day at the out-laws...er...I mean in-laws. After we were seated our waitress showed with a trainee. We ordered our food no problem. Apparently our waitress got busy elsewhere because the trainee came out with our tray of food along with the floor manager. Just as she got to the table her load must have shifted. She managed to keep everything on the tray except a little bottle of vinegar. It fell off the tray upside down on my crotch and emptied before I could react. I'll never forget the look of shock on her face nor the utter horror on the face of the manager. His eyes got so big I thought they'd pop out of their sockets. Needless to say, we ate free that day and I spent the rest of the afternoon at my in-laws with that clean, fresh feeling.

either i cant remember or it hasnt been that bad for me... -my friend found a dead fly in her meat pie at school. -i found a large piece of plastic in my rice once -got a plate full of grub infested broccoli BLEGH -have found numerous hairs in food over the years -was given a glass with bright pink lipstick marks on the edge... obviously hadnt been cleaned
I often seem to get the tiny pieces of bone in chopped chicken or ground beef, since I'm sorta sensitive to that and notice the smallest piece... but I also forget soon because I can't remember a single specific incident or restaurant. Just like there's usually a piece of buckshot in my meat when I order anything like hare or deer or whatever -my parents would rarely if ever find anything like that. Maybe they ate it? I can't imagine not noticing a piece of buckshot! Oh well, it happens, it's no big deal. The only thing I remember where I can name the place is the college cafetaria. A lot of the food was really pretty good, let me say that first -the cooks were really nice so it would be unfair to point out only the bad. But they would put the salad out a bit too long... first meal they put it out it was nice 'n crisp, second meal it got a little old but still edible, but I've found it more than once where it really, really should've been 'tossed' rather than served!

KFC makes me feel sick, so I don't eat it anymore. My friend made a stir-fry once with huge chunks of fresh ginger in it....it made me feel soo sick...to this day I don't like the taste of ginger (I liked it before that)...and that was over a decade ago.
I've eaten in some crap, serve as much food as possible for the lowest price bulk food American restaurants, but the very worst I've ever had was in an Ethiopian joint that literally served what seemed like baby food unjarred over a latex pancake.
