I just had to respond to such an Intriguing Thought:

Anne Rice had a whole series of books about this (wonderful, I thought) family of witches (& damn for the life of me can't right now remember their names). I've read All of Rice's books.
One of the Marking traits of these psychic, strong witches was they tended to have 6 fingers (on each hand).

I did't date, but saw this tall, beautiful black girl-woman around and knew her for a while before I really realized she had 6 fingers on both hands. She Never lacked for dates - and I mean seriously, the dudes all Loved this Girl.
