wtf just happened..

was going to the store real quick and I got gasoline. while getting gasoline there was some young dude pissing around the gas pumps with a light cigarette. So get all stern and shit basically asked him once to get off the property with a lit cigarette..
My past jobs have always required me to be on top the fire shit. You guys know I put up the fire drills here all the time. I take fire pretty serious.. Anyways as dude didnt want to listen to me it required more force to get him off the property where the strong odor of gasoline is present. I placed my left hand on his chest and said "sir remove yourself from this area while smoking NOW!" and proceeded to shove him in one motion. He then went back and realized he was in the wrong place to be smoking and this isnt a joke..
Then all the sudden this other dude who is obviously bigger than I wants to be like "fuck you man get you hands off him, don be fucking with my freind".. Ok now 2 against one. I had to use the ol' state certified police official business routine but dude was obvious a trouble maker could be a fight. So I called his bluff and asked him to make more of it before he goes to jail( of which he soon will) so he's running his mouth and I told a another patron to call the real police in town and they were there in a few minutes or less as I danced around the aggressor calling him on. He was a much bigger bitch than I figured cause soon the cops pulled in the lot hes trying to get to his truck and out of there..
The bigger dude was arrested for "terrorist threats" cause he was saying "im gona kick your ass" but clearly he was to dumb and slow to figure out the whole situation at hand..
I explained to the officer that I work in building security, fire prevention, combat vet almost killed by an ied fire.. lol They just suck that stuff all up.. and lucky for me I just got my re-certification in April, that would of not worked had I didnt..
The dude that was smoking was very apologetic and really said the other guy wasnt his freind at all..
Magitrate court- Ill just drop the shit.. lol im sure dude will learn this lesson well. It was a very good exercise for me. I was able to access the situation, plan and devise an outcome, control the situation for the safety of the general public and myself.. :coffee:

least didnt get out of hand, I was afraid bigger dude had a weapon cause the other one had the window squeegee when he was playing around, There was 3rd but he was way smaller and quickly left the gas pump playing into the store as soon as I said this is gasoline FIRE!!! and didnt ever come out lol...

 

they only arrested him cause the other people was saying he was being an asshole and the video tape..

haha, I was just reflecting on like did I really need to bother kinda shit, then I got to thinking about fire and the environment in general with a gasoline fire explosion.. Its just hard to say even doing a right thing is the right thing.. What was the real threat?
From what i get the cigarette dude was washing the windows smoking, the littler dude was playing the game around the pump the smoking dude was chasing him.. Thats when I came in and said stop it!!

Pretty not cool IMO. After the 2nd guy jumped in, I would have diffused the situation and got out of there rather than "calling his bluff". Then everyone would be OK and no one would be in jail right now. Relying on the police is being more of a bitch than the dude trying to get away when they showed up. I don't see how you think you protected the general public and yourself by doing this. You really think it was more likely that someone would get hurt from a guy smoking around a gas pump than by antagonizing 2 people, physically in 1 case? While smoking around a gas pump isn't smart, it's raises the chances of a fire from 0 to .0001%. But OK, you pushed him down and got him to stop. Congrats. Now you engage in a fight with someone who's just trying to act like he's standing up for his friend. That raised the chances of someone getting hurt from that .0001% to something like 50%. 100% if you consider getting thrown in jail as harm (which I do). Why not just let the people that run the gas station enforce their rules instead of taking your security thing outside of work?

Actually in Pennsylvania a state police certification allow the resident to act official, in some capacity on behalf of the town or local ordinances. It can not be used In the same capacity as police officers assigned to the town..

I dont think that you read the report, These People were playing between pumps while I was outside my car, this isnt a playground..

Its Kinda difficult to give a care about some oil spill in the gulf. When you can see clearly that others care very little about your safety and the environment..

Depends on the amount of danger involved. Someone speeding down the road is dangerous too. I'm not going to shoot the guy's tires out because of it, or even call the cops. I don't think your flight example is even close to comparable.

Just because you are allowed to act doesn't mean you should. And it doesn't mean the specific way you acted was correct. I don't think you were in the wrong when you confronted the guy smoking. Not how I would go about it, but to each his own. You were wrong in the way you responded to the 2nd guy. From the OP:
