last friday, an 18 yr old was shot dead by police officers in my town after an armed robbery of 2 playstation3's about 2 weeks ago. they also killed his dog, whos name is blaze. i know this doesnt have much to do with weed, but they did find a few bongs and some joints in the house. http://www.starnewsonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20061203/NEWS/612030440 http://www.starnewsonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20061204/BREAKING/61204010 http://www.newsobserver.com/1419/story/518714.html http://www.wilmingtonstar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20061207/NEWS/612070403/0/BREAKING ^those were all the links i could find regarding this story. but there is alot more behind this tho, he did have a violent past and was known to go into hard drug binges for days on end and become extremely violent. i know a kid that was beaten down by this guy because he told him to stop hitting a girl that he knew. i also know the victim/robbers cousin quite well. and here is a photo of him and two of his friends that they had on myspace or some other website. thank god his dad is a lawyer, cause the WPD is gonna get their assholes handed to them on a silver platter in court.
because they kicked the house in his door down with no warrant on hand, killed him and his dog, and then the sherriff didnt release the names of the officers to the public. my views would be totally different if they had a warrant with them, he had shown acts of violence towards the police, and they didnt kill the damn dog. he did have guns in the house, but they were not within view of the officers. so killing him is totally unjust to say the least. arent we all innocent until proven guilty in a court of law? i believe so, it is the first right they read to you while being arrested
i'm just saying it dont really sound like a real big loss. from the description you gave of the guy, if i knew him i probably woulda paid money to shoot his ass.
some people I know knew that dude. I never heard much about him though. Fuck another durhamite killed, shit. That was fucked up what he did, but uhhhhh why the fuck did they kill him man?
thats the dumbest shit i've ever heard... so..a fucking petty useless waste of life robs a guy for the equivelent of 1500$, which is quite a substantial crime He has a record of Drug Abuse, Violence, and most likely weapons charges, NOT TO MENTION, it was an ARMED ROBBERY, ie. he has at least 1 weapon in his possesion which he used knowing where this scum lives, the police raided the home, found the suspect and stolen goods, and in the process Killed the guy in self-defense, which will hold up IN ANY COURT because a loyal officer of the peace's word will clearly hold up better then a drug addicted thief sorry, but the world is a better place with him gone.
imagine a world without police.... it would suck WAYYYYYY WORSE than a world with police. dont hate on cops, just hate on stupid laws
they showed no warrant, and he answered the door and they shot him on the spot. no guns, drugs or playstations in sight of the officers. i wouldnt mind if they had arrested him and thrwon him in the slammer for a coupla years, but to kill him with no trial sounds like.....lynching to me
In the article I read on Yahoo, it said he answered the door with a controller in his hand, which could give the impression of a gun. At first. It doesn't justify killing him and the dog, but I could see the initial mistake.
i once knew a guy named blaze... that ol pup shouldnve died tho. Cops can be dicks tho... not all ofem but alot ofem. i dont know the guy so i dont know if he deserved it.
It sounds like you dont have all the info. A police oficer is a proffession that needs to exist in this world. Dont hate the cop hate the law. Some cops just go on power trips and those are the ones to hate.
