why are we not allowed to swear. what is so bad about the term fuck. everyone fucks, why does it matter? and bitch is just dog....etc. im not saying ppl should swear 24/7 but if u feel its appropriate, why not? Llike in school when u accidently drop something, i wanna say "fuck!"
if fuck became as bland a word as darn, we'd just end up making up a new expletive. that's why the word's so great. when i stub my toe, it doesn't feel half as good yelling out "shoot!" as "shit!", because the latter is more pure, dirty, and real. we need swear words to act like a hidden reservoir for those times that we really need to express ourselves.
I agree with useing swear words..........but i dont think it is nice to use them as insults you may thing thats pretty wierd but yeah........
theres nothing wrong with swear words because there not relly slangs anyways fuck=sex shit=poo ass=a mule which is similar to a horse clit=clit there no other word for it so as you can see it's just another way the government try's to mantain power
I don't like swear words in excess because it reveals a nasty nature from a person. It really does. Swear words are a completely better alternative to physical aggression and have a great way of letting things out but still, are for their own times. Not to be taken as a boring word such as darn or crap. I like swear words being treated so sacredly, who wants a bland language? We need that in it. Diversity anyone?
I can say fuck and I can say darn, and I can make darn sound way worse. It is not the word so much as the intent. I see kids swearing to sound 'mature', lol. It is kind of ironic. If I am with conservative folk, I don't swear out of respect for their traditions, whether they seem bizarre or not. Sticks and stones, etc. Well, I hope that I wasn't being too much of a ****.
I think that is smart, and mature. If you want to say any word at all to me, I won't care a bit. If you were to try to intimidate my fiance by screaming racial epithets at her, you'd be in trouble. Trust me. Not from me either. But I just meant to say that I agree, words are words, insults are attacks, they are verbal violence, and can cause harm, so I see them as hurtful and do my best to resist the urge. Sometimes it is hard, cuz I can honestly say there are a lot of people out there that deserve to be called shit for brains, etc.
It doesn't really matter where it says or doesn't say that... it's what the fun-hating Christians interpret from the bible. Live a holy life! Abandon fun, kill homosexuals, support murder in the middle east, shop til you drop... you'll definitely get into heaven that way! Don't worry what god says... our words are more important than his! Those are the kinds of people who've made the laws of this country.. the bible says nothing about swearing, if I remember correctly, but I guess most people replace what they don't understand or like with what they want to read.
