This is for people like me. I wish it was better and I know for a fact that there are more places in Virginia but those other states that are unlisted need help.

Directed at people that insist on smoking around me.

I agree with most bans on smoking indoors, however I am against the bans placed on private clubs. It should be the decision of the clubs memebers, not a public decision. If a club's membership decides that it wants to allow smoking, then so be it. If a non-smoker doesn't like it, don't go in there - you have a choice

That sounds fair to me; however, I believe that people shouldn't smoke outdoors at bus stops or transportation centers. (Here me out before you disagree.) While I understand that smokers have rights just like anyone else, I think that non-smokers should have equal rights. I feel that by smoking outside you are in violation of my rights to breath. (You can't contain smoke. You won't where a special suit so that the smoke only affects you and you have to know that since smoke is lighter than air that you can't control it's direction or potency.) This might sound harsh but think about it for a sec. They've already proven that smoking is more addictive than heroin and one of the most dangerous drugs on the market yet they refuse to stop making it. It kills more people second-hand than it benefits first hand so why make it? *(When I use you I use it collectively.)

I'm back and I have a question. Why is it when you tell people that you are allergic to cigarette smoke they ask why? When you tell them why then they remark about people with your allergies that smoke. (I get asthma.) Why can't they just respect my feelings?

smoking should not be banned. especially at bus stops, come on. youre inhaling all the exhaust fumes, and pollen and such. and youre worried about smelling smoke for a brief second?

i understand restaurants and stuff. but not a bar. at a bar youre drinking poison, attempting to have unprotected sex with a total stranger, and doing generally unproductive things. and youre worried about smoke?

I don't care about a bar but a bus stop is where I have to wait for the bus. (I broke out in a rash 'cause the driver brought a lit cigerette on the bus, no joke.) I wouldn't try to get between you and a pleasurable event though.;)
