Hi everyone tia for the help. I have 4 plant in 8" pots growing in 50/50 vermiculite and perlite with a vertilizer 20-20-20 1 tpl/ gal 2 plants look ok the other 2 show the following problem. yesterday I drained out the solution and flushed with clear water. Any suggestions besides starting over. thanks
You're main problem comes from your medium. 50/50 perlite/vermiculite is a terrible medium. Those are soil amendments, not replacements. About the only thing I can recommend (besides starting over, your best bet) is to try to transplant into quality potting soil, losing as little root mass as possible. You also said "yesterday I drained out the solution" do you mean you had then in standing water?
from the looks of the pic your doing a sorta hydro grow??? ranger, I think he has the water in those green tubs that the pots are siting in. I can't really advise in a hydro setup, but to me it looks like stress, maybe heat?
Thanks for the input. I was growing Hydro sort of. But because of the problems I was encountering I repotted into 1 gal containers and used potting soil. I replaced the watering solution with fresh water PH 7 and added some ebsom salts. The plants look much healthier now. I will post a photo tonight or tomorrow. I am going to pinch (top) one of the tall plants also. I am sure that I was not using the proper nute solution ealier. My only reason for going Hydo was so that when I go away on business for a few days or a week the plants are getting feed and water.
