I was just reading my abnormal psych book and it said that guys ( It said nothing about girls. Typical!) who smoke marijuana before age 15 regularly are 6 times more likely to develop schizophrenia by age 24.

Well, looks like your all going to be schizo's. Hahaha

I'd like to see these studies. Other statistics said things like Western Irish are more likely, children who's fathers are 40+ when they are born are more likely, people who live in urban environments and a bunch of other random reasons. So, if your reading this from Western Ireland, are male, under 15 with a bowl pressed to your lips, have an old ass dad and somehow live in an urban area, YAH FUCKED.

 

haha ive been smoking since i was 12 and everyday since i was 13 and my dads like 50 and i live in an urban area. im not in ireland though

Of course a fucking textbook is gonna say shit like that, I was also under the impression that you don't just spontaneously develop schizophrenia, it's been somewhat linked to genetics IE it lies dormant until brought to the surface in most cases by psychedelic or even MJ use but you just don't come down with it one day like the flu or some shit + plus being male or female is really irrelevant both have all the same lobes and parts of the brain...one sex perhaps may be more prone but females can certainly not be ruled out completely for MJ use.
