Seven bartenders were asked if they could identify personality on what
drinks were chosen. Though interviewed separately, they concurred on almost
all counts. The results:

IF WOMEN DRINK:

Drink: Beer
Personality: Casual, low maintenance; down to earth.
Approach: Challenge her to a game of pool.

Drink: Blender drinks with umbrella
Personality: Flaky, annoying, ditzy, and a pain in the buXt.
Approach: Avoid her, unless you want to be her cabin boy.

Drink : Mixed drinks - no umbrellas
Personality : Mature, has picky taste; knows what she wants.
Approach : If she wants you, she'll send YOU a drink.

Drink: Wine (bottled, not 4-litre cask)
Personality: Conservative and classy, sophisticated.
Approach: Try and weave Paris and clothing into the conversation.

Drink: Bacardi breezer, Smirnoff Ice, Vodka mule, etc.
Personality: Easy; thinks she is trendy and sophisticated, but has
absolutely no clue.
Approach: Make her feel smarter than she is... and you're in.

Drink: Baileys
Personality: Annoying voice, bit of a tart.
Approach: Stand close and mention the alley next to the pub.

Drink: Shots (Vodka, Aftershock etc.).
Personality: Hanging with male pals or looking to get drunk... and naked.
Approach: Easiest hit in the pub. Nothing to do but wait.

IF MEN DRINK: As always, very simple and clear cut.

Drink: Cider
Personality: He's probably under-age and wants to get laid.

Drink: Cheap Domestic Beer
Personality: He's poor/student and wants to get laid.

Drink: Premium Local Beer
Personality: He likes good beer and wants to get laid.

Drink: Bitter Beer
Personality: He's old, he likes good beer and wants to get laid.

Drink: Imported Beer
Personality: He likes expensive beer and wants to get laid.

Drink: Guinness
Personality: The man is a sxx freak and will get laid one way or another.

Drink: Wine
Personality: He's hoping that the wine thing will give him a sophisticated
image and help him get laid.

Drink: Vodka or Brandy
Personality: Extremely horny guy, would shag a warm scarf. Desperate to get
laid.

Drink: Port
Personality: Thinks he's sophisticated, wants to get laid.

Drink: Whiskey
Personality: He doesn't give two craps about anything and will hit anyone
who will get in his way of getting laid.

Drink: Jack Daniels
Personality: Not as masculine as the whiskey drinker, knows all about
feminine activities (knitting, crochet etc.) to weasel himself into getting
laid.

Drink: Tequila
Personality: Likes fighting almost as much as getting laid.

 

Drink: Apple Juice
Personality: is an apple lover
Approach: say "whats up johnny appleseed"

That's pretty interesting...

I really like mixed drinks and shots of sweet liquor, but I don't think those descriptions apply to me (especially not the shots one) Or maybe... maybe I'm like that deep down... somewhere... but the mixed drinks one kinda sound like me, I guess??

depends on the mood and who's buying. usually i'm a beer girl, but i prefer fooseball. if i'm in some warm climate, i'll go for frozen blender drinks. if i'm partying with a bunch of friends, and they're buying shots, i'm a tequila girl. i prefer carolans to baileys. yeah, i can be a bit of a tart, and my voice probably is annoying to some. but if someone mentions the alley, i'll make sure his balls get there long before the rest of him, then take his mourning girlfriend home with me..

i don't drink much, so this mostly doesn't apply to me. i guess i'm generally a mixed drink minus the umbrella girl.

I drink a lot of rye and coke when I'm out at the bar. That and shots. And beer.
I guess I'm just a hodge podge of all three.

thats some good info, lol. i used to drink whatever i could get my hands on, but i grew outta that. i can't handle doing that anymore. but a few good beers is good anyday
