Well I'm HERE and NOT getting my dingdang hair cut. boo effin hiss

Mama kept on and on and ON until I just gave in and cancelled today's appt. good grief I wish I didn't let myself get bullied here at home like I do. I tend to do what is easiest for me (which is to not hear a bunch of griping and whining), until it is something that is beyond what I can tolerate.

We do NOT have freezing rain, nor sleet and most certainly not snow.

So, that is my weather and personal update. :dizzy2:

    Poor Lynn.

There is going to have to be a tipping of the scales in this power struggle with your mother.

lol She is way beyond conceding even the teeniest bit of "power". It is solely her physical infirmities that have forced her to yield what she has. Only after she has accepted she isn't going to simply "get over" some of the infirmities (deafness, difficulty in walking steady, hand numbness for a few) that she allowed common sense to enter the equation and have (let) me take over "running the house".

Her mouth and ability to gripe persistently remain intact. yay for consistency huh :D

She has gotten a little nicer. (Imagine how "special" time was with her before.)

    Where is everybody? lol

OK - now for another update...I think before I posted that last post, while I was saying there was no snow and bla bla bla... I should have looked out the window just one more time! I had already gone and gotten the paper out of the mail box so I didn't think I needed to look out every dang 15 minutes! anyway...

    THERE IS SNOW!

    smdh

The son texted it was so bad where he is (about 25 miles away) he isn't coming down as usual on Friday to drop off his laundry.

You do your sons laundry, Lynn? :D OHHH he's got it made. Hehe.

So far we can hear the lions grunting away. Our aquarium light has been turned off though. Which is a shame. The story behind it though lol when we first got into our room we were laying on the bed in our zoo robes after showering and I was laying on her tummy and watching the fish. Then out of nowhere we see this guy on the other end of the tank and I jumped up like a ninja shocked. Later after dinner we went looking around and it's a big tank that can be seen from our room and on the other side zoo visitors could see. The guy was closing the curtain on his side... an hour before closing so I don't know if people could see in at us and we were giving them a show or what. :D but I think, like I couldn't see anyone until I saw him right up against the tank so I don't think they'd have seen us on the bed.... Seems stupid to have a private room am everyone can see you in. =\

I had snapper for dinner, was weird because I normally don't eat too much fish but I was really craving it and veges for some reason. It was nice, but I'm not sure I feel too well atm.

The other annoyance is..... kids. Kids fuckin everywhere I think we may be the only childless couple lol. And they treat everyone as one big group so we can't get away from them. But it's okay. I saw a man wearing a Denver bronco shirt so I'll go friend him tomorrow if he's wearing it again orrrr I'll just wear my big orange new bronco jacket I got from Denver. :) the lions are still grunting and at dinner they came to eat with us but they left really quickly unimpressed lol. They're so plush looking, beautiful.

The other annoyance is we can't seem to get away. Once your in their care, zoo is locked. You're in your room... and we'll like y'all know we meek very nocturnal hours so we don't know what to do right now 2200hrs. And I've got no weed and can't get to the car until the morning. =[

you guys have trouble seeing single posts?.

like when you use to click the post# it would give you link to individual post, and only show one post.. now,, single post# shows you the whole page.. really makes it annoying when you want to break down picture threads..

lol Doing his laundry is barter for him keeping me supplied with internet.

Plus I know he will want it done every week so he has to come down here and eat Sunday lunch if he wants clean clothes. In other words, I Really Want to see my son on a regular basis. :) This coming week there is no telling how much dirty laundry there will be.

I'll never understand how there are parents that say "Oh, I haven't seen or talked to my son/daughter for months or years. We don't agree on such and such."...I've met people like that, and I always think WTF! Agreeing with you is more important than loving and seeing your child???? :dizzy2:

A few inches of snow is nothing to drive in if you know what you are doing. Even without the roads being plowed. All of those 4X4 trucks in south and people are afraid of the weather.

satan hijacks my laundry all the time.. i dump stuff in the washer,, leave come home, shit is dried and folded... socks all sorted... I dont care my socks are sorted,, I have 100+ socks ,,, but damn she will do whatever it takes to match them.. might be boredom or unconditional love... she even comes into my room sometimes and sweeps my floor of clothes, washes them and piles them on the bed..

awww that really is sweet! She must appreciate you keeping a roof over her head (a WARM one at that! :D) but even moreso surely she loves you.

Its the slick ice on the bridges that is more dangerous than anything else (and he has to cross over several bridges). We southerners aren't used to driving in this, and everybody isn't scared to drive in it. But usually the ones out driving and sliding and enjoying all of that should be afraid! Fools are never scared. lol

A 4X4 don't mean much... They stop worse on ice than a car. Actually let me rephrase that, they don't stop for shit unless they hit something.

Back in the mid 70's the 4X4 for common usage was just starting. Not "new" but the big three auto companies were just starting to pump them out in mass and the Blazer/Bronco type 4X4 were getting popular. I routinely passed them on western PA hills with a 4 door full size Pontiac because they were stuck, sitting there spinning their wheels and I would just motor on around them.

Best cars for snow ever... Mid to late 60's and early 70's full sized GM cars. Get a set of studded snow tires all the way around, load down the trunk with cast iron engine parts and learn to use reverse for braking. You could go anywhere.
