so tell me what you think of this http://www.blacknews.com/video/fox_attacks_black_america.html I promise I won't comment. My views on race are upsetting to most but I'm really curious to hear others opinions.
i honestly think the entire issue is way to complicated for me to get. so far as i can tell, no one would be surprised at fox news stance, though some tangible physical evidence to back up the claim that black people are coerced into making vitriolic statements would go a lot farther in convincing the fence sitters. i'm not really sure what is to be done about it, from my perspective the best i can do is raise my children to treat everyone with respect and give no one special treatment. i can only hope everyone someday gets the point.
There are only two different kinds of people in this world.. Good and Bad. And for what it's worth... Fox news is the devil.
I actually don't have a strong opinion either way. Just thought it was interesting and something to think about.
The entire issue is complicated needlessly by the sources that purport to be fair and balanced providers of information. One need only to consider the true purpose of Faux News and other like news providers, to make money through advertising sales, in order to take the information with the proverbial grain of salt. Advertisers will buy spots on stations that are being watched. If a news outlet can drum up enough anger through slanted reporting and selectively using sources that will back up their version of matters then the appearance of credibility can be manufactured while a very suggestible public can glue themselves to the source that is spoon feeding them propaganda. There is no doubt in my mind that racism exists- and that cultural hatred will be perpetuated by reporting as illustrated. As a mouthpiece of the current government, Faux News is aiding and abetting in current matters by creating issues and directing the sheeple to expend their anger on that instead of focusing attention on war crimes being directed by our largely white government- not to mention corporate irresponsibility on everything from the environment to Big Oil increasing its price gouging on a grand scale while their mostly white CEOs raking in tens of billions in profits on a quarterly basis.
My problem really is with the site itself ~ Black News? If there was a site called White News, would that be considered racist? I have a real problem with segregating 'white' and 'black' ~ It's as alright with black people having their own news media, their own channel, their own websites as it would be for white people to have their own. I know all about Black History, but at the same time, there are zillions of races, cultures, religions, sexes, sexualities, etc who've experienced different levels of oppression throughout history all over the world. I don't think it's appropriate to reinforce segregation in the media. It bothers me a bit.
that's an endless debate. pretty soon we'll have a Latino History month, too. which seems to me, both topics are things that pretty much should be addressed all the time. a month doesn't seem like long enough. it's not even a survey course, really.
spanish speaking people from the americas, not spain. one of millions of labels we white american people are handed so that we don't offend someone.
I think it's completely outrageous if there was a 'whtie news' people would flip it's segregation only in a different form Martin Luther King Jr. would roll over in his grave if he knew of this
you'd be surprised how many people DON'T know. i'm not quite sure how people can't be utterly fascinated by the backgrounds, cultures and histories of other groups of people. i can understand not having time to really learn about them all, but so many people just shut off their heads completely when someone tries to talk about the practices of other people. it's crazy. still, i have to admit, i get mightily annoyed at people continuing to segregate themselves but expecting me to be perfect and open ALL the time. cut me some slack, i make mistakes, so does EVERYONE else.
Uhhum. The nature of that website itself only promotes racism, just like BET and rappers using the word "******" in every song, together with popular slang. Black people just seem to have a need to remind dumbass white people why they dislike them in the first place. Take Jesse Jackson per example, I can't stand that wanker, together with Al Sharpton. Black, white, green, bah... it's all so silly... sadly people still have to define themselves by their colour, only drawing racism towards themselves.
does anyone else think that we as a society are getting a little ridiculous in our political correctness? that movie looks ridiculous...man american news ..i don't get it...some of the stuff they say is hilarious and absolutely insane ridiculous...thats the word i would use to describe all of this...freaking ridiculous... i seriously don't undserstand racism...you're either a nice person or you're an asshole, it doesn't really matter what race
i'm just sick of it all and am opting out. i'll teach my daughter's to be respectful of anyone, and everyone else can fight whatever battle is most important to them. i can't fight them all.
Speaking as a proud, hard working, law abiding african american male / portuguese creole, I find FOX News beyond contempt While I find them contemptible, I believe their motives are more directed towards our voting practices as opposed to the color of our skin. Those lousy right-wing neophytic fucks Hotwater
Glad to know....but i aint white But in response, i find any version of televised news to be set aside...i could be watching Iron Chef or getting my brain fucked over watching LOST
I just hope that when our kids are our age that my son could say to your son " you are a person I like" without colour ever entering into the arena.
I didnt waste my time watching it, all I know is if a white guy had a network for the common white man like the blacks have in bet network the feds would be all over us crackers.
