English is a magpie language. It has all kinds of words in it. And googling words to see if people use them, probably not the best method, eh?
I've never heard anyone say"tired to death"... A Lucifer was once Brit slang for a match. It way still be for all I know.
Makes sense in Czech as well. And I'm scared of all those synonyms... nope.. I'll never speak English that good..
laziness. I don't know if you said you wished you could fly would you instantly run off to pilot school?
the good thing about there being a lot of English words... you can make an essay sound really intellectual if you have a thesaurus handy.
Reminds me.. What do you call a person who speaks three languages? Trilingual. What do you call a person who speaks two languages? Bilingual. What do you call a person who speaks one language? American.
