This is ridiculous. I can't believe there are people who actually believe in psychics. Why don't you actually EXAMINE THE TRACK RECORD of these people before you just decide to believe, out of nowhere, that they're psychic? I promise you, I can predict future events just as well as they can and I'm no psychic. As for those of you who claim to be psychics: You disgust me. You shouldn't take advantage of stupid people. This kind of fraud is exactly what's wrong with the world economy.
I don't visit this forum often, I don't claim to be a pyschic and I've never met a pyschic but this dosent make me disbelieve that pyschis exist. Actually Im reading a book right now that discuss scientific research on pyschics(the real ones-your right, a lot of people who claim to be aren't) and its pretty convincing. The mind is a very powerful thing my friend.
Oh really. Are you sure it isn't pseudoscience? Don't you think that if this were a REAL branch of science that the world's governments would be spending a lot more money on it? Explain to me please: 1. How people can "see" the future with the brain 2. Why the brain allows some people to do this and not others 3. Why I should believe any of these morons when almost all of them have terrible track records Psychics are just a New-Age-bullshit concept. I don't know a single legitimate scientist who considers this a real branch of science. And I'm not talking about your next door neighbor Bob. I'm talking about Nobel laureates, NAS members, etc.
do you think the government even wants people to know that psychics exist. If you do any research you will find the government did research on remote viewing for quite a few years with a decent rate of success. Supposedly they stopped all research but more than likely they started another "front" project to continue it
Uh-huh...I hate to break it to you, but the government cannot keep new technology secret as long as you might imagine. There are simply too many people involved that someone will talk to the press, and too much incentive for military scientists to build something similar on the private market. If psychics are real, how come they work for infomercial hotlines for $8 per hour, instead of, say, the New York Stock Exchange? How come there aren't any psychics who can consistently predict things? Put down the National Enquirer and pick up a New York Times, for once. You might learn some real science instead of this horseshit.
If the government really wants something kept secret it WILL stay secret. Take area 51 for example. Yeah everyone knows about it but nobody knows the exact details of what happened.....besides area 51 was just a front to distract people from the real base that was somewhere else. I mean everyone knows the name of the country's most top secret base, isnt that a little too obvious for a top secret base?
1. To see the future with the brain you have to look at time as past, present, and future as one, which I'm sure you don't believe and I must admit is hard for my brain to comprehend, but hey, our brains cannot perceive the infinite so... 2. Some people can do these things while others cant (which is not to say everyone dosent have the potential to do these things) because they have tapped into parts of the physce that others have not. 3. You dont have to beleive any of it. Just respect that some people do and dont go on a forum insulting people. I honestly dont understand why your so angry about this (I base that on your diction). Just let it be.
I share this same view on time. I believe....no,I know the past and future to be happening right now. Our minds have a filter to allow us to see the current time that we are percieving. While I havent learned to switch filters I am slightly aware....maybe i don't wanna see the future so it is more interesting
Um, actually many police forces hire in psychics to aid in solving serious crimes when traditional tactics have failed. There have been many cases solved in this way. It’s all kept quite hush, hush due to the stigma attached to using this method. I don’t pretend to know the future either but i have had a few experiences that i cant explain. I have had dreams (in great detail) that have happened a few days later. I don’t mean 'code' dreams either i mean strict detail of an event that hasn't happened at the time i dreamed it. I dreamt that my granddad was dead (i had seen him the day earlier and he looked quite well) everything right down to a conversation in his kitchen and i mean word for word, happened right in front of me four days later. I had told a lot of people about the dream otherwise I’d have thought i was loosing my mind. Another time a friend was visiting and i took my other mate aside and said i had a really bad feeling. He told everyone not realising i was telling him in confidence and no sooner had he spoken than the phone rang with news of a road accident. Needless to say that friend never visited me after that because she was so freaked out. She called a few weeks later and started telling me her husband had taken ill. I asked if it had happened on the Thursday, i gave her an exact time and asked if it was stomach pains. The phone went quiet before she said he rang her on that day at the exact time saying he nearly crashed the car because of pains in his stomach (which turned out be kidney stones). I had absolutely no way of knowing this and again i had told other people at the time it happened so i know I’m not nuts. I've dreamt about an ex turning up whom i hadn't seen in almost a year and that she was a drug addict and told me she had a baby now. I woke up and told my girlfriend and right then the door went and guess whom? She said she had just had an abortion and that she was coming off cocaine. I've also had a horrible feeling one night in front of a few mates. I said it was to do with a bedroom window. The said they were going home because i was freaking them out. The next day one of them was off school and i went round to see if she was all right. She was chalk white when she opened the door and she just said her aunt had thrown herself out of her bedroom window at the exact same time as i said i had the horrible feeling the night before. One time my dog was acting really out of character and he sat at the front door and refused to go in so i couldn’t leave to go out. By the time i got him back inside I’d missed the bus, which was involved in an accident on route to where i was going. I came over all funny one night and told my friend that I’d had a 'vision' about a toilet and lots of blood all over the place. My step dad came home a half hour later covered in blood saying he'd got into a fight in the toilets of a pub and that he thought he might have killed the guy by accident in the fight. I've had dreams about being two-timed and i knew exactly whom it was with and where they worked even although i had never met them. I've had all sorts of weird things happen to me which i hated because i could never do anything about them being as i only knew about most of them at the exact time they happened and a lot of the time i don’t know who its happening to. I started ignoring the 'feelings' and now for most of the time i don’t get them, although occasionally some slip through. It was pretty horrible and i started investigating the occult to make some sense out of what was happening to me, which only got me into more trouble. Now i just leave well alone because i don’t want to know these things unless i can do something about them. I would be evry grateful for someone to explain these things logically to me because it would be a lot less scarey.
Oh Jesus fucking Christ...you're a conspiracy theorist. Don't be so credulous; try employing some common-sense skepticism for once in your life. None of this stuff ever happened, and there is absolutely NO evidence that it did. Psychics - Pseudoscientific tabloid bullshit Area 51 - Pseudoscientific tabloid bullshit UFOs - Pseudoscientific tabloid bullshit Bigfoot - Pseudoscientific tabloid bullshit Lochness Monster - Pseudoscientific tabloid bullshit Ghosts - Pseudoscientific tabloid bullshit
Just because they make claims like that on the infomercials doesn't make them true. No police forces use this method because it's quite ILLEGAL to waste taxpayers money in this way. I'd be glad to. It's all an odds game. Occasionally you have a thought that comes true, so you notice it and might tell others about it. What about the other 99.999% of thoughts you have that DON'T come true? There's nothing unusual about them, so you don't remember them. Think of it like a poker game: It's like playing 10,000 hands of poker and getting four-of-a-kind on the 10,000th hand. That doesn't make you lucky, because there were 9,999 hands that you didn't get four-of-a-kind.
I am here to explain.......... There ARE psychics on this earth. God gave some people the ability to see things...the future....the past, etc. I have a very close relative that is a psychic and helps find missing children from her psychic abilities. She's with Childfinders. There ARE people out there that have psychic abilities! I know someone who is friends with a few psychics....and everything they've said (mind you these people don't know eachother)..they've all said the same thing, and every bit of it has come to reality. I, myself, can see into the future sometimes, and can see things before they happen. My friends trust me quite a bit when i say something, because everything i see, and i tell them, guess what....it's been true.
Sorry, I prefer science/reason to pseudoscience/superstition. Hopefully you'll see how silly this is one day.
Science is but an organized system of ignorance. I think Einstein said that but don't quote me on it cuz im not sure, it just seemd like the right quote to use
ICP used it in a song, but the quote is from a movie or something, anyway doesnt change the effectiveness of it
Science is NOT just a system of ignorance. Science makes predictions which can be tested. If you don't believe in gravity, you can jump up and see if you come back down. "Psychics" either: A) don't make testable predictions at all, B) make their predictions so vague that you can interpret them however you want, or C) just make shit up, knowing full well that most of you sheep will ignore the times when they're wrong if they can guess things right every now and then.
