Young Hippies disappoint me!!!!

I know longer enjoy being compared to other hippies of my age! Seems like every young hippy I know cares about 3 things..... doing drugs,what they look like and,music by bands that contradicted everything a "hippy" stands for.......... I read the posts on the forums and with the exception of a few nothing is going on! The conversations are pointles and at times down right mean spirited and just plan dume! What has happened to young people and why can't I find one forum in this place that gives a damn!!!

 

i think you joined a little too late to get anything out of it.
i wasn't here during that time but i guess things were alot better than they are now :/
i joined expecting more but i don't mind all that much anymore.

 

but thats the problem! if eveyone is so passive nothing will get done! Where the hell is the hippy spirit!

well most people there aren't really into that stuff i guess.
they just like to talk about whatever.their daily lives i guess.
it'd be nice if it was the other way though.

I come here and read but haven't been responding until now and I'm just sick of the meaningless conversations........ As a hippy I want to commune with others and talk about things that matter not just to me but to all hippies and people! This world is soooo
crazy right now and the youth are the ones who are gonna have to clean up this shit hole of a mess when Bush is done with it and you would think that people would be a little more involved and not only that but the attitudes here stink as well!

 

well yeah but people dont like too just talk about important stuff. its fun too goof off and mess around. ill agree witth you about the intolerance. especially in the religion section. and whats wrong with drugs?

 

i think it's just this whole winter thing.hopefully by spring and summer everyone will be in a good mood.HOPEFULLY.if not.i don't know what the hell is going on.well you know YH isn't the only forum isn't the only one here.lolyou can try the others.im pretty sure the people in there care :/News and Issues for instance.it's worth a try :/

Nothing is wrong with drugs and it is good to be goofy at times as well but thats not all there is and so far thats all I've seen on that forum...... There should be a mixture of both and as far as drugs go as someone who has been dealing with them and around them for awhile they get old to after awhile..... but I thought they where "IT" at 15 to so.

 

I was here on the older version of the forum. Hell; back in the day we wouldn't touch any drugs that weren't weed or made from nature. Now I hear about them doing ecstacy and all kinds of things??

 

Well i'm an MA and see daily what they can do if taken to far and as for anything unnatrual I wouldn't touch the stuff! I work for sub-u-tex (easier to say that way! LOL) clinic on wensday and its designed to get people off hard drugs like meth,morphine and, perscriptions drugs and if the young people could see what I do they would NEVER think about touching drugs again!

 

there are some pretty awesome people here..but most of them don't come on anymore..

I think that young people are disappointing. Period. They think they are grown up, they act it sometimes, but then they do or say something that proves they need more practice at being an adult.

Understandable, but disappointing.

 

maybe cuz the real " hippies" or the ones you would like to communicate n have intelligent conversations with are out doin"hippie" type things instead of sittin on their asses talking about how they are all "hippies" in their own mind....if you look around these forums there are truly some great conversations and fun and learnin to be found,,, but you have to spend the time to figure out just where they are n go those general areas,,,, as you said most of this here is nothing more than bar room jibberish... luv n lite

 

I guess I'm guilty of that myself (being adult but still saing things at times that contradicts the adult in me....) but see thats human and good as well. we need to be both the adult and the joker to keep form being complete asholes but on the young hippies forum it just saddens me to see what the older hippies stood for go to crap!

 

What are some of the better forums? I look but there are so many!

thats why i tend to post in other areas and not in the young hippies section the conversations there for the most part are pointless garble

nah seriously whati consider to be decent n what you consider decent could be very different,,, rainbow, coomunal living at times camping n outdoor living old hippies back to the garden at times, the big green field, womens issues, philospghy n religion, depends what yer into really,,,,
