If you were founding a country, what rules would you want your laws to be based off of. Share up to ten of your main tenets.
• No lobbying and no direct contacts between corporations and politicians. • No special economic benefits and sky-high incomes for politicians • Democratic system with public referendums for important decisions All men, women, races, social classes have the same rights ..... goes without saying.
No class systems , and worker 100 %owned and operated co-ops . With a democracy one man one vote . No lobbyist nor centralized banking system .
A Person charged in any State with Treason, Felony, or other Crime, who shall flee from Justice, and be found in another State, shall on Demand of the executive Authority of the State from which he fled, be delivered up, to be removed to the State having Jurisdiction of the Crime.
#1) Raising or importing broccoli is a capital offense #2) All citizens must be courteous to each other; not being courteous would be a capital offense. I think I could run a successful nation based only on those two laws.
I would have only one rule Pursue happiness for yourself as long as in doing so you cause no harm to another.
I think we'd just copy another country that works pretty good. Call the country Norway 2: The Reckoning.
Politicians will be hung on sight Millionaires will be burned at the stake Barter system in lieu of money No forced Child Labor No discrimination related to employment, housing, or education Visiting pharmaceutical representatives will be drawn and quartered Trial by community Declaration to respect the environment Legalized prostitution Collective bargaining to settle disputes No Jews allowed Hotwater :2thumbsup:
It would be the same as Canada's, with these exceptions: 1) Internet is a right, not a luxury. Think about it, it's unlimited knowledge. Is it fair for only some people to access it? 2) The internet is entirely open, and none of it is censored by the government. 3) Most drugs are legalised, but it is illegal to sell them without proper government consent. This isn't a part of the constitution, but this is how my country's school system would work: Students would be given intelligence tests and put in different classes based on not how high they scored, but which type of intelligence they excel in (Logic-mathematical, spatial, linguistic, bodily-kinesthetic, musical, interpersonal, intrapersonal, naturalistic, existential). So, if someone scored high in the 'linguistic' and 'existential' portions of intelligence, but low on 'logic-mathematical', their classes would have less intensive math portions.
My country would be a free-for-all. It would probably be chaotic as fuck. There would be no drug laws and if a person hurts a woman or a child, they will be tortured until they die from shock.
A person is free to do whatever they please as long as what they're doing doesn't interfere with the right for others to do as they please. This includes any extraneous factors....such as...a corporation can't destroy the environment because that interferes with the right to enjoy the environment they are destroying.
