Hip hop: Hardcore Trip hop Golden Age (boom bap) Freestyle (battle rap) Revolutionary rap some horrorcore
fuck dude I don't know...how am i supposed to choose?! I'm going to say a three way psych rock / very liberally defined IDM / ....experimental, that covers a lot of shit It's tough though because most of my favorite bands are all from different genres.
My favourite type of music ranges from psychedelic rock, space rock, folk rock, blues rock, stoner rock (I'm pretty selective though, also don't like alot of stoner rock. Ah well, I guess that counts of course for every genre ). Also doom, black, folk and heavy metal are always among my favourites. But sometimes I get in a different mood and I can prefer surf rock, rockabilly or even reggae, bigbeat, psytrance and dub. Besides folk rock I also really get into pure folk at times, or the fusion of it with other genres like with trip hop, lounge, drum 'n bass etc. :cheers2:
This is a hard one... I'd have to say that my top favorite styles are psychedelic, blues-rock, freak folk/psych folk, alternative folk, and experimental/alternative rock.
I like a lot of punk (older 80-early 90's) psychobilly and rockabilly.. you asked about the rockabilly.. I like Reverend Horton Heat, Nekromantics, horrorpops, stray cats, hepcat..stuff like that
Well, that fusion is more with middle-eastern or asan folkish sounds, perhaps I should call that world too but world music is kind of a silly term for it. Examples are Samsara sound system and Loop Guru, perhaps some tracks of Asian dub foundation. It's more loose tracks in these genres then anything. I just noticed it's apparently called worldbeat by the way haha. Same with the rockabilly by the way, when I'm in such a mood I generally make a playlist with some Johnny Cash, Devil makes three, Charlie Feathers etc. I usually add some Chuck Berry of course, and perhaps even some Buddy Holly  I saw Reverend Horton Heat also live by the way, great stuff! And the best: I saw them live when they were opening for Nashville Pussy! :cheers2: Yeah, those live bands are fucking great hehe.
