Just wanted to get your initial reactions or thoughts on Donald Trump Bombing Iran and their nuclear facilities? The News says he bombed three of their major nuclear facilities and says the Operation was a critical success!! Me personally, I guess I’d say I’m for it. I think many presidents even before Trump had that same plan but just never had the “stomach” to go out and get the job done. I hear this strike on Iran will set Irans nuclear program back many many years. It’s gonna take Iran many years now to even develop or come up with more nuclear weapons or nuclear facilities now!!!
There were a few stories here and there (CNN / Assoc. Press) that no radioactivity was detected at the three sites that were bombed. The idea that all faculties were totally destroyed might be extremely exaggerated.
They US military leaders aren't certain of the damage, despite what Trump says. There's also the likelihood that much of the stuff was moved several days previously, which means it may still exist. I wouldn't consider this action anything more than a minimal assistance to Israel which conveniently diverts attention away from Trumps other failures.
Really? I must've missed something. In what way were they held accountable, given they're reported to have moved the uranium days earlier and US generals dont know how much damage was done?
Its probably not possible to move that heavy equipment so quickly, and anyway such a move has not been verified. A damage report will undoubtedly be forthcoming, You can't hide anything from out satalites;
They knew weeks ago that the situation was deteriorating and their nuclear endeavours were a specific part of the conversation. So it wouldn't have been moved 'quickly'. It's been verified that there were dozens of trucks at the main site 4 days previously. Maybe they were just sightseeing. Another thing that's not been verified is the damage done by the B-2s. All that means it's a bit soon to think of Iran as being held accountable. We need to see evidence and not just media or presidential comments.
That evidence will come to light I'm sure. Also if the trucks actually took anything away. I'm sure we know where they went. As Trump says, Iran still has plenty of targets.
Accepting Trump's unprovoked unilateral attack upon another sovereign nation requires a herculean suspension of disbelief to accept anything said by someone who's been documented to have told at least 30,573 lies during his first term (averaging nearly a lie an hour for four years; no small feat), over the consensus of all 18 U.S. intelligence agencies, the IAEA, and the U.N. It also requires suspension of the 1973 War Powers Act and the U.S. Constitution (Article I, Section 8, Clause 11 and Article VI, Clause 2; but as we now live in a post-constitutional pseudo-democracy, that's somewhat of a moot point), the Nuremberg Charter, the U.N. Charter, and the Geneva Conventions. Iran was a signatory in full compliance to the JCPA until Trump unilaterally and without provocation abrogated the treaty. Unlike Israel, Iran was a signatory to the NNPT and remained voluntarily subject to IAEA supervision and inspection despite the U.S. withdrawal from the treaty. Iran was actively engaged in negotiating a new nuclear agreement with the U.S. while the U.S. was secretly planning to attack them; not exactly what I'd call negotiating in good faith. The lack of radioactive plumes emanating from the smoking wreckage would seem to suggest that once again, Trump was full of shit. Probable consequences: Nobody will ever trust the United States to negotiate anything or to abide by any treaty obligations ever again. If Iran has any sense, they'll carefully consider emulating their fellow axis-of-evil member, North Korea. They have nuclear weapons, and despite all of America's bellicose saber-rattling, nobody bombs them.
I think the truth will come out, however your earlier comment is wrong as confirmed by your subsequent posts. Clearly wrong.
