The other is that it gives me something to be proud of, something to be confident about. Coming out has certainly made me a more confident, open person.

 

I think probably the fact that I wont have to beg for sex in the future. Also I will know if my partner is faking his orgasm - hah!

 

Yup. Not having to beg for sex is a HUGE advantage by all means and standards.

Not having to pretend that you are in love and that you want a common future and all is another one.

As far as I go, the very coolest thing about being gay is having learnt not to worry about other people's opinions regarding you and your intimate life. You do in privacy of your bedroom with other consenting adults, what you find fit. And kindly tell the others, who may disprove of your lifestyle to kindly fuck off.

The relationships I form with women. They are able to trust me more because I will never try to form a "romantic" relationship with them. My best friends are women.

um, i guess my favorite thing would be like when I bring a straight friend to a gay club. making the straight guy a minority is really fun[ny]. but yea, otherwise, I guess I really like the sense of connection and closeness when I'm around a large group of like-minded people. It's strengthening....

 

I truly enjoy the bond that I have formed with my friends. The relationships that many gay men with their friends are wonderful. Many of our friendships usually constitute a surrogate family where one receives support and unconditional love. At least for me, my biological family other than my mother, never truly accepted my sexuality.

I have been able to form truly honest and fulfilling relationships with women. My closest friend at this point in my life is a woman.
