I just started taking 5mg of zoloft for anxiety. I feel lethargic. Is this normal after the first dose and will it go away? I've never been on a SSRI and basically have no choice atm.

It will take a couple weeks for your body to get use to it. works good for me.

Good to know. Thanks. I've decided to take it at night so I'm asleep during the side effects.

I have been on it for about a year and had similar feelings. As your body gets use to it, the side effects I had passed. It works wonders for me,.....no more panic attacks. Hope this helps.

How are you taking 5mg of Zoloft? did you mean 50?

I'm pretty sure 25mg is the smallest dose available, so you'd have to break those pills into five pieces to get a 5mg dose...

Good thought geo, I'm on 50mg daily, and its a small blue pill with a groove that can be easily split.

I take Zoloft too for anxiety/panic disorder, and depression. The only problems I've had is sometimes My hands and feet get tingly and numb, then after that passes they itch like crazy. It helps though, I guess. My panic attacks have been a lot less frequent and whatnot, so that's good. I take 20 or 25 mg a day, I believe.

I was taking a low dose of Zoloft at one point (don't remember the dose specifically). I was experiencing some weird symptoms that may or may not have been because of the drug. When I saw a therapist, he said he was surprised that I was prescribed that low of a dose. But if it is the drug that is causing symptoms, it'll take at least two weeks for them to subside.

I was on Zoloft for 2 months for depression with anxiety, stopped taking it a month ago. Had no change in mood, no side effects, nothing. Worthless.

Be careful with Zoloft...sometimes the side effects are worse. It killed my sex drive and I felt lethargic all the time.

Give it a few weeks and if you aren't noticing a change, call the doc.

Zoloft and that class of SSRI's uses a fluorine molecule as its base, which is essentially what they are putting in our water. Eventually, your pineal gland will be fully crystalllized with fluorine salts, thus decreasing your natural DMT production possibly limiting your spirit connection and DNA activation in 2012.

SSRI's make me psychotic, and I've read they cancel out the effects of psychedelics which would suck....at least prozac does which is what I tried. So yeah no SSRI's for me...but yes they can have side effects and they are supposed to diminish.

Oh fuck, there's fluoride in prozac? what the hell, I don't even use toothpaste with that shit in it...but that explains why it felt like a chemical lobotomy. I hope 3 1/2 weeks didn't do too much damage...lol and I think I would drink my own piss before I drink a gallon of the tap water around where I live.

Maybe that's why they counter the effects of psychedelics...when I read that i found it quite disturbing because I was wondering how the hell does it fuck up the brain to prevent the effects of psychedelics.
