If I Won the Lottery... (REVISITED)

Si yo fuera rico...
Wenn ich einmal reich wär'...
If I were a rich man...
The notion crosses my mind like finding the magic lamp, finding the suitcase of unmarked bills, or breaking the bank at Monte Carlo.
WiKi explains the bank at Monte Carlo as
"The Monte Carlo Casino was inaugurated in 1863. Since then, the bank has been broken on a number of occasions. The expression "breaking the bank" is used when a gambler wins more money than the reserve held at that particular table in the casino. At the start of each day, every table was funded with a cash reserve of 100,000 francs – known as "the bank". If this reserve was insufficient to pay the winnings, play at that table was suspended while extra funds were brought out from the casino's vaults."
Would my life change? Now there's a(n) hypothetical for you. I think there would be differences in some of the physical states; upgraded furniture and appliances, perhaps a change of venue, or maybe more than one home so that I could live optimally in the different seasons.
I'm older now. In fact, I'm of retirement age so the notion of retiring would not be inappropriate. Of course, I would get more 'fan mail' and requests for 'gifts'. I think of how strange it would be to hear from people who forgot my name when I was of no value to them but then would clamor to see me if they knew I were walking around with a pocket full of shekels.
Dreams for another night![]()
